A cage for a large roller bearing that loosely surrounds and mechanically secures the rollers. It comprises, first, a strip (2) of metal with lateral and intermediate webs (4 & 5) that leave recesses (6) and, second, plastic windows (6) that fit into the associated recesses. The windows have collars (8) that rest against the surface of the strip. The object of the invention is to improve the cage to the extent that it can be securely positioned in the bearing system without slides. Each window (6) accordingly has a securing rim (10) on its collar (8) that overlaps the lateral web (4).

Cage for a large roller bearing

A swivel bearing is provided for a bogie which comprises a support mounted on a first race ring, a friction lining and a rolling element attached to the support for providing a braking position to the friction lining. A second race ring engages the first race ring through rolling elements. A counter friction lining support element is solidly mounted on the second race ring and supports a counter friction lining for engaging the friction lining. A cam element is attached to the second race ring suitably for engaging the roller to provide for a positioning of the friction lining versus the counter friction lining over a desired angle. The counter friction lining support element is preferably a clamp spring of suitable tension for limiting the total braking force on the bogie rotation.

Stabilized bearing for bogies

A one-piece intermediate member for separating from each other anti-friction bodies of an anti-friction bearing. This intermediate member has a mantle surface adapted to the race cross section of the respective anti-friction bearing for which the intermediate member is intended. The intermediate member is by a dividing wall or partition extending substantially perpendicular to the axis of the intermediate member divided into two sections forming an image to each other. Each side of the dividing wall, which latter may e.g. be of synthetic material such as plastics, is provided with a reinforcement, e.g. in the form of a ring or a polygon, and this reinforcement is connected by webs to the mantle and has ribs extending from the reinforcement in the direction toward the axis of the intermediate member with the inner ends of the ribs being spaced from each other.

One-piece intermediate member for anti-friction bearings

An anti-friction bearing, especially for absorbing large axial, radial, and moment loads, which comprises an inner race ring and an outer race ring with the raceways for receiving therebetween the anti-friction bodies such as balls, rollers, etc. One of the race rings is detachably connected with an auxillary race ring which represents an emergency raceway and corresponds to a respective raceway of the respective adjacent race ring. This auxiliary race ring is put into operation when a signalling device has indicated a certain wear of the bearing over its original condition of operation.
