A flow regulation control valve for regulating volume flows in pipelines including valve housing with a flow chamber, a control or shut-off member arranged in the flow chamber for setting a desired flow state through the valve, at least one sensor arranged in the vicinity of the flow chamber of the valve housing for sensing a characteristic value of the flow through the flow chamber, an electronic data store or memory for storing specific characteristic values of the housing of the flow regulation control valve, and an evaluation unit which is connected to the sensor and determines the volume flow from the values measured by the sensor with reference to the characteristic values of the valve stored in the data store.

Gate valve

A valve wherein the housing has an internal seat having a sealing face which surrounds a seat area that is inclined with reference to the axis of a stem for the valving element. The sealing face is tapered and forms part of a conical surface. In order to ensure that the valving element is pressed against the sealing face, the line of action of the force which is applied by the stem is eccentric to the axis of the conical surface.

A seal for closing a gap which is present between a tubular housing member and a plate-shaped closing member pivotally mounted within the housing member in the closing position of the closing member includes two resilient sealing lips which, even when unstressed, assume substantially symmetrical curved configurations; when the closing member assumes its closing position, the sealing lips, which have an effective width exceeding that of the gap and which are detachably mounted on the housing member, are stressed and press against the closing member to seal the gap against penetration of media therethrough in either direction. The sealing lips surround the closure in an annular manner and are made of a metallic material.

A valve with a tubular valve body having two axially deformable bellows disposed between two flanges and flanking an annular seat which is movable axially of the body to thereby change the effective cross-sectional area of an annular passage between its internal valve surface and the valving surface of a valve element which is secured to one of the flanges by several ribs and is spacedly surrounded by the body. The device or devices which serve to move the seat relative to the valve element are located outside of the body.
