A multiple frame x-ray imaging system is disclosed with capability of differential x-ray exposure of different input areas of an image intensifier or other x-ray detector. Collimators are provided to control the amount of radiation in various regions of the image and image processing is provided to provide the display of images of different qualities.

X-ray reduction system

An imaging system comprising a radiation source and radiation thereby; a detector having an input surface; a monitor configured to display images detected by the detector; a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for determining at least one Region of Interest (ROI) on a displayed image; and a collimator comprising means for modulating intensity of the radiation according to the at least one ROI; wherein the GUI comprises means for displaying detected images and means for determining shape and location of the at least one ROI.

A closed loop brain stimulation system includes a means for reading electrophysiological signals from the brain; means for reading other biometric signals; means for stimulating the brain; and a control algorithm that dynamically adjusts the parameters of stimulation to minimize a reference utility function that computes the difference between the current and desired brain states, and current and desired biometric states.

Method and apparatus for closed-loop brain stimulation

This invention relates to a multiple frame imaging system including radiation source, a detector having an input area, a monitor configured to display detected images, means for determining at least one Region of Interest (ROI) of an object on the displayed image, and a collimator having means for projecting the at least one region of interest (ROI) on at least one selected fraction of the input area exposed by the x-ray source. The collimator including at least three essentially non-overlapping plates mounted in a plane generally parallel to the detector input surface plane, each plate includes a first edge in contact with an edge of a first neighboring plate and a second edge adjacent to the first edge in contact with an edge of a second neighboring plate; and means for moving each one of the plates.

A wearable safety device assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes at least one sensor configured to obtain one or more signals from a user. One of the at least one sensors comprises a vestibular (and startling/surprise related) motion sensor specially configured to obtain vestibular (and startling/surprise related) signals. Vestibular (and startling/surprise related) data indicative of a user's vestibular (and startling/surprise related) state is extracted from the one or more signals and used to determine whether a user is undergoing an event such as a fall or a startling movement. When it is determined that a user is undergoing an event, the processor of the wearable safety device transmits an activation signal to the safety device. Optionally, the processor may transmit data and information related to the vestibular (and startling/surprise related) system and recorded signals to a data repository.

Injury mitigation system and method using adaptive fall and collision detection

Methods and apparatuses are provided for treating cardiac conductive disorders that include implantation of a network of material that adaptively corrects the electrical conductivity of heart tissues and restores 'normal' conductance. The methods and apparatuses disclosed herein involve the delivery of a material to a subject's heart in order to restore normal conductance in a minimally invasive, tunable, localized, and reversible manner, without artificial electrical stimulation.
