Compositions and methods for styling the hair are provided. The compositions improve the curl definition, softness, smoothness, sensory feel, and/or frizz control to the hair. Also provided are methods of using the compositions.

Styling composition for providing various advantageous properties to the hair

The instant disclosure relates to essentially anhydrous hair-treatment compositions. The anhydrous hair-treatment compositions typically include: one or more polyurethane latex polymers; one or more bis-urea derivatives; and one or more solvents. Additional components such as silicones, auxiliary agents, etc., can also be included. The instant disclosure also relates to kits that include the essentially anhydrous hair-treatment compositions and to methods for treating hair with the essentially anhydrous hair-treatment compositions.

Essentially anhydrous hair-treatment compositions comprising a polyurethane latex polymer and bis-urea derivative

The present disclosure relates to hair care systems comprising: (1) a booster composition containing at least one ionic polymer functionalized with at least one carboxylic acid moiety; optionally, at least one compound selected from an alkoxysilane, a nonionic latex polymer, or mixtures thereof; a thickening agent; and a cosmetically acceptable carrier; and (2) a hair treatment composition containing at least one surfactant selected from an anionic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant, a cationic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant, or mixtures thereof. The hair care systems of the present disclosure can be used to clean and/or condition hair, as well impart frizz control and manageability benefits to hair.

Systems, kits, and methods for treating hair with compositions containing ionic polymers

The instant disclosure relates to hair-treatment compositions. The hair-treatment compositions typically include: one or more polyurethane latex polymers; one or more thickening agents; one or more water-soluble solvents; and water. Additional components such as silicones, emulsifiers, surfactants, cationic polymers, etc., can also be included. The instant disclosure also relates to kits that include the hair-treatment compositions and to methods for treating hair with the hair-treatment compositions.
