A flyweight comprises a body. The body of the flyweight comprises a pivot, a cam surface, and a first coupler. The first coupler is configured to selectively couple at least one first weight to the body distal from the cam surface. A flyweight comprises a body having at least 20% of its mass positioned to contribute negative torque about a pivot related to an acceleration of a CVT clutch from an idling condition. A method of tuning a flyweight comprises attaching at least one first weight to a first coupler of a body of the flyweight distal from a cam surface of the body. A CVT clutch comprises at least one flyweight with a first coupler configured to selectively couple at least one first weight to a body of the flyweight distal from a cam surface.

Snowmobile skis include at least one elongated wing member projecting laterally outward and upward from a lateral side of a base portion of the ski. The at least one elongated wing member has a lower surface that extends vertically over and laterally outward from a lower running surface of the ski. At least a longitudinal section of the lower surface of the at least one elongated wing member may include a portion having a curved, concave shape. The lower surface of the at least one elongated wing member may extend a greater distance vertically over the lower running surface of the ski near a longitudinal midportion of the ski relative to a distance by which the lower surface of the at least one elongated wing member extends vertically over the lower running surface of the ski near a longitudinal front portion of the ski and near a longitudinal rear portion of the ski.

A snowmobile ski with a pair of outboard keels and laterally projecting, upwardly slanting, lateral wings attached proximate the outboard keels is disclosed. A ski of this structure has improved flotation and resistance to side slippage in turns.

Snowmobile ski

This invention relates to an improved snowmobile ski having a vertical fin on the topside of the ski with a surface area large enough to minimize or prevent sideways slippage of the ski during a turn. The fin, if a single fin is used, is located adjacent the outboard edge of the ski. A snowmobile ski with dual topside fins having outwardly projecting lips along the upper edges of said fins has improved performance in deep snow.

An adjustment mechanism for use with a driven clutch of continuously variable transmission has an adjustor ring that receives a first end of a spring. A follower plate be carried by one of the pulley halves has a surface to interact with the other pulley half. The follower plate receives the adjustor ring. A holding element, a set screw in a preferred embodiment, retains the adjustor ring in a position relative to the follower plate. The mechanism allows rotation of the adjustor ring relative to the follower plate to adjust the spring force.

Adjustable driven clutch

An inline pipeline expansion joint is provided having a first sleeve with the outer end adaptable to attach to a pipe. A second sleeve also has an outer end adaptable to attach the attachment of a pipe, the inner end of the first sleeve being co-axially and telescopically received within the second sleeve. A seal is interposed between the interior of the first sleeve and the exterior of the second sleeve. A tubular liner is positioned within the second sleeve, one end of the liner being telescopically received within the interior of the first sleeve to thereby reduce turbulence of fluid flow through the expansion joint. The first sleeve has an external annular circumferential flange with openings therethrough that receive circumferentially spaced alignment rods that are secured at one end to the second sleeve so that as the first sleeve moves telescopically with respect to the second sleeve, the two sleeves are prevented from rotating with respect to each other.

High temperature inline expansion joint

A device suitable for holding a collapsible tube and dispensing the contents thereof is provided. The device has a base which supports and holds the tube, an upper plate pivotally attached to the base and adapted to pivot or rotate one or more times towards said base to compress the collapsible tube and dispense the contents thereof. The device also includes a forward wall having a vertically disposed slot which receives the neck of the collapsible tube and allows the tube to slide vertically as the tube is compressed and the contents are dispensed. Repeated rotations of the upper plate results in a milking of the contents of the tube and thus a controlled dispensing of the contents.

Dispenser for collapsible tubes

A flow control valve 30 between a geothermal wellhead and a steam separator 22 is responsive to fluid pressure flowing through the wellhead to the separator and varies the flow rate to the separator 22 in response to the pressure to equalize the flow to the separator 22. A Y-type expansion spool 14 on the wellhead has a pair of auxiliary inlets 76, 78. One of the auxiliary inlets 76 has an auxiliary hanger 88 therein to suspend flexible tubing 94 for the injection of chemicals into the well and the other auxiliary inlet 78 provides an entrance 122 for taking a steam sample and permitting a tool to be inserted within the well.

Fluid control means for geothermal wells

A fish hook extraction tool fashioned from a single length of pipe which is conically flared at one end. V-shaped notches are spaced along the periphery of the flare for engaging a fish hook and an elongated slot in the pipe wall communicates with the flare for guiding the tool along a fishing line to the hook within the fish. The other end of the pipe is bent approximately 90.degree. and diametrically slotted to engage the fishing line.
