A eutectic supported catalyst system is used in catalyzed chemical reactions. A metal catalyst particle is supported in a eutectic medium. The system may have a) a eutectic composition of at least two metals forming the eutectic composition; and b) metal catalyst particles, preferably of nanometer dimensions, such as from 0.5 to 50 nm. The particles are dispersed throughout the eutectic composition when the eutectic composition is solid, and the particles are dispersed or suspended throughout the eutectic composition when the eutectic composition is in liquid form. At least one metal of the eutectic may comprises lead and a metal in the metal catalyst is a different metal then the metals in the eutectic. The eutectic may be in a liquid state and the metal catalyst particles may be in an equilibrium state within the eutectic.

A mounting assembly couples a current limiting fuse to an element that defines a longitudinal axis. The mounting assembly includes a mounting member on the element; a first attachment member coupled to the mounting member in a fixed position relative to the mounting member; and a second attachment member coupleable to the current limiting fuse. The first and second attachment members are configured to be attached to one another in a plurality of discreet positions about an axis that is non-parallel to the longitudinal axis.

Current limiting fuse

A housing for a current limiting fuse that includes a metal fuse element and a non-conductive filler material. The fuse element is configured to melt to create an open circuit when an applied current exceeds a threshold amount. The housing includes first and second cylindrical members. The first cylindrical member has an open end portion and the second cylindrical member has an integrally formed closed end portion and an open end portion configured to be attached to the open end portion of the first cylindrical member to close the housing. The housing also includes a fastening member configured to prevent the open end portion of the first cylindrical member from separating from the open end portion of the second cylindrical member when the fuse element melts.

A toggle locking tool is provided with an adjustment screw assembly comprising a force-enhancing shank that enables the holding force of the tool to be multiplied manifold. The adjustment screw assembly comprises an adjustment screw conventionally adapted to be fed into and to engage a threaded bore in the outer end of the fixed handle of the tool; however said adjustment screw itself comprises an internal, fine-threaded bore that extends through the length of said screw, and that receives a threaded force-enhancing shank having a head portion adapted for turning manually or with a turning tool. An end portion of said shank extends beyond the adjustment screw to form the bearing surface which, in a conventional toggle locking tool, is provided by the tip of the adjustment screw. Rotation of the adjustment screw provides rapid, low-force locking adjustment of the tool, and subsequent torquing of the force-enhancing shank results in the application of a multiplied locking force to the jaws of the tool.

In one aspect, an electrical connector assembly can be removably coupled to a second electrical connector assembly. The electrical connector assembly includes an elastomeric insulative layer and a rigid conductive sleeve disposed within the insulative layer. One or both of the rigid conductive sleeve and the insulative layer have interior surfaces that define an opening. A conductive contact is disposed within the opening and a conductive or semi-conductive exterior layer at least partially covers the insulative layer. The rigid conductive sleeve is configured to act as a voltage shield and the conductive or semi-conductive exterior layer is configured to act as a ground shield.

Electrical connector assembly

A high-voltage loadbreak switch operates submersed in a dielectric fluid and may be configured to switch one or more phases of power using one or more phase switches. Each phase switch may include first and second stationary contacts. The first stationary contact may be connected to a phase of a high-voltage power source. Each phase switch also may include a non-stationary contact. The non-stationary contact may be placed in a first position to electrically couple the first stationary contact to the second stationary contact, and in a second position to decouple the first stationary contact and the second stationary contact. The region of motion of the first non-stationary contact between the first position and the second position includes an arcing region. The high-voltage loadbreak switch uses a fluid circulation mechanism to improve circulation of the dielectric fluid through the arcing region. To suppress arcing between different phases, a non-conductive baffle may separate different phase switches when more than one phase switch is used. A non-conductive baffle also may separate a phase from ground to prevent phase-to-ground arcing.

A high current fuse includes a housing with electrically-conductive caps attached at opposite ends. At least two winding supports are positioned in the housing, extending between the caps, and spaced from one another. Each winding support is wound by at least one electrically-conductive element. These elements are electrically connected to the caps.

High amperage current limiting fuse

A quick latch mounting device for securing a standoff device to a standoff bracket used in electrical power distribution systems. The mounting device includes a mounting member attachable to the standoff device and movable in a horizontal plane between a first position clamped to the bracket and a second unclamped position, and an actuator having either a cam or a lever for movement in a vertical plane. A clamping member is carried by the mounting member and operatively couples the actuator and the mounting member. The clamping member is slidably movable relative to the mounting member along oblique sliding interfaces to translate the vertical movement of the actuator into the horizontal movement of the mounting member so that the mounting member may be firmly clamped or unclamped to the bracket.
