Skin care compositions and methods are provided comprising a highly hydrophobic substance, an alkaryl polyfluorocarbon, particularly a substituted phenyl-polyfluoroacylamino propanamide, an alkanol and refined oils and the oil triglyceride fractions in sufficient amount to provide substantial homogeneity. When employed for hirsutism, optionally antioxidants and moisturizer are added. For use against wrinkles, additionally vitamins, antioxidants and a mixture of extracts of naturally occurring substances are present.

Skin care compositions and methods

This invention comprises new formulations of radiographic contrast media including dimeric non-ionic media, with an organic amine and a carboxylic acid. Formulations of this invention increase the biological tolerance of such media, thereby increasing their safety.

Novel non-ionic contrast media are provided, which fulfill the requirements for x-ray visualization media, while being biodegradable. The compounds are characterized by being triiodo-3,5-diaminobenzoic acid derivatives, where the functional groups are derivatized with hydroxyalkyl groups and the amino functionalities are further derivatized with acyl substituents of one carbon acids. Also, triiodophloroglucinol oxyalkyl substituted derivatives are provided.
