The present invention is a door adaptable for work spaces in a modular work area environment. The door is bi-fold in design, can be attached to any flat surface, and is particularly suited for attachment to the flat end portion of the modular wall separating two adjacent modular work spaces. The door can then be used to close the entry and egress area of either adjacent modular work space areas. When not in use, the door can be folded such that it rests in a position perpendicular to the shared modular wall, such that the entry and egress areas of both adjacent modular work spaces are open.

A ceiling infeed module for a free standing, space dividing, wall panel system which includes, in combination, a ceiling panel for inclusion in a suspended ceiling system, a hollow space dividing wall panel and a tubular member with a removable side cap interconnecting the ceiling panel and the hollow space dividing wall panel by way of a transition. The ceiling infeed module also includes a base shroud for use in concealing the lower portion of the hollow space dividing wall panel and a ceiling escutcheon for use in concealing an aperture cut into the ceiling panel. The tubular member carries electrical and communication service from the plenum area above the suspended ceiling to a free standing, space dividing wall panel system. The tubular member construction enables the electrical and communication service to be installed either before or after the ceiling infeed module is in place.

Ceiling infeed module

A substantially rectangular panel suitable for use in an office space dividing system, with the panel including a frame constructed of rails and stiles. The rails and stiles define a window having inner facing edges which include channels for receiving a sheet of material. Glazing strips are provided for the channels which are configured such that they are insertable into a channel in a selected one of two orientations. In one orientation, the glazing strip is in a normal position to receive the sheet of material. In the other orientation the glazing strip is inverted, completely blocking access to the channel, to prevent foreign matter from entering the channel prior to assembly of the sheet of material with the frame.

Panel for an office space dividing system

A desk having a desk top defining a work surface, an adjoining upright wall panel along at least one edge of the desk top, and an electrical cord transition assembly for a slot in the at least one edge of the desk top, at the juncture between the desk top and wall panel. The transition assembly includes a grommet which snugly lines the slot, and a grommet cover which is pivotally attached to the slot via a substantially vertically oriented pivot axis. The grommet cover may be easily assembled with the grommet, even when the grommet is individually preassembled with the slot, but difficult to remove without removing the assembly from the slot. Cooperative elements of the grommet and grommet cover form a tactile detent when the grommet cover is in a position which closes the grommet and associated slot.

Electrical cord transition assembly for the juncture of a work surface

A wall-mounted support rail for mounting and supporting a plurality of paper-handling trays and the like, and which is adapted to be mounted to a pair of laterally spaced, vertical slotted standards. The support rail includes an elongated slot in the front surface which is adapted to receive paper-handling elements of differing construction, and includes mounting clip members on the rear surface adjacent the ends of the rail which interlock with slots in the vertical slotted standards.
