A powder dispenser includes a reservoir body including a supply of powder and an inhalation conduit; a driving body for rotating the reservoir body and including upper recesses and two spring fingers in lower driving recesses thereof; a rotatable metering plate for carrying a metered amount of powder from the supply to the inhalation conduit, and having an underside with ribs; a gas permeable retainer welded to the ribs; a spring biasing the metering plate toward the reservoir body; a nozzle having spiked ribs welded in the upper recesses of the driving body and including a chimney with vertical flutes; an adapter non-rotatably mounted with respect to the metering plate and including two locking recesses for receiving the spring fingers for locking engagement and two helical cam tracks with a square cross-section; a closure cap covering the driving body and including priming ribs biasing the spring fingers out of the locking recesses and engaging with the locking recesses to rotate the driving body, and two cams riding within the cam tracks; a base non-rotatably connected with the metering plate; and a counter rotatably mounted on the base and including rotatable counter rings providing a visual count of the number of doses of powder to be dispensed, and a pawl assembly engaging with gear teeth of the counter rings for rotating the same, the pawl assembly including an outer wall, a pawl and a pawl spring integrally molded as a single piece.

Powdered medication inhaler

A closure for a container opening including an end cap member having a base portion and a spout portion integrally formed therewith and upstanding therefrom, where the spout portion includes a first aperture therethrough for directing the contents out of the container. A connecting member is included for connecting the base portion about the container opening as well as a plug member for closing off the first aperture where the plug member is upstanding from the spout portion and is secured about the periphery of the first aperture by a severable wall. A cover member also is included which is mounted to the end cap member for rotational movement with respect to the end cap member where the cover member includes a second aperture for receiving the plug member therethrough. A first portion of the inner wall defining the second aperture is formed by a knife edge capable of severing the severable wall upon rotational movement of the cover member to enable removal of the plug member and dispensing of the container contents through the first and second apertures of the closure in a desired position about the periphery of the container.

Tamper evident closure with dispensing spout and integral opening member

A container including a container body, at least one socket member connected to the container body and having spaced generally opposed socket walls defining a passageway, and a cover attachable to the container body, the cover including at least one pivot member which enters the passageway when the cover is attached to engage a socket receptacle.

Container with hinged cover

An end closure for a container comprising an end cap and a cover rotatable with respect to the end cap. The end cap has a raised portion connected to the main part of the end cap by a thinned, severable wall. The raised portion fits within an opening in the cover, which opening is defined at least in part by a knife edge. Upon rotation of the cover relative to the end cap, the knife edge will cut through the severable wall and sever the raised portion from the end cap. A pour opening is defined in the end cap when the raised portion is severed. When the opening in the cover is aligned with the pour opening in the end cap, the contents of the container may be dispensed. When the opening in the cover is out of registry with the pour opening in the end cap, no contents may be discharged. Complementary inter-engaging flanges on the end cap and cover retain the parts in assembled relationship. A tamper evident element is detachably secured within the opening in the cover by frangible sections. The frangible sections are readily broken upon movement of the cover relative to the end cap in a direction to cut the raised portion; thereby evidencing to the user that the container has been tampered with and that the sealed condition may have been breached.

End closure with tamper evident element

A collapsible eating utensil having food engaging means and integrally formed handle means. The food engaging means may be a knife, fork, or spoon. The handle means includes a rigid stem and segments adapted to be moved from folded position adjacent the stem to extended position in substantially longitudinal alignment with said stem. Locking means in the form of interengaging male and female members are provided on the segments to retain them in extended position.

Eating utensil

An end closure for a container comprising an end cap and a cover rotatable with respect to the end cap. The end cap has a raised portion connected to the main part of the end cap by a thinned, severable wall. The raised portion fits within an opening in the end cap, which opening is defined at least in part by a knife edge. Upon rotation of the cover relative to the end cap, the knife edge will cut through the severable wall and sever the raised portion from the end cap. A pour opening is defined in the end cap when the raised portion is severed. When the opening in the cover is aligned with the pour opening in the end cap, the contents of the container may be dispensed. When the opening in the cover is out of registry with the pour opening in the end cap, no contents may be discharged. Complementary inter-engaging flanges on the end cap and cover retain the parts in assembled relationship. In one embodiment of the invention, the opening in the cover includes a flat wall adapted to abut the raised portion and preclude rotation of the cover in one direction until the raised portion is removed. Another embodiment of the invention includes cooperating means on the cover and on the end cap to preclude retrograde motion or reverse motion of the cover with respect to the end cap once cutting of the severable wall begins.
