Methods, systems, and devices may assist in channelization and LBT for NR unlicensed band. This may apply to NR-U from 52.6 GHz to 71 GHz and above. In an example, a method may include configuring listen before talk (LBT) bandwidth (BW) and channel occupation time (COT) sharing schemes when co-exist other radio access technology's (RAT'S) channel BW for NR-U from 52.6 to 71 GHz and above; and when LBT or a resource block (RB) set BW is set to equal to each component carrier (CC) BW Nor transmission BW, performing LBT for each CC, primary cell (PCell), primary secondary cell (PSCell), or a scheduling secondary cell (SCell) can co-schedule LBT results for other CC.

Channelization and LBT for NR unlicensed band from 52.6 GHz and above

LBT adaptation, beam operation, and/or interference handling may be performed by wireless communication devices in NR above 52.6 GHZ. In an example, a wireless communications device may send information on a channel. The channel may comprise a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH), a Physical Downlink Shared Data Channel (PDSCH), or a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH). The wireless communications device may receive, from a user equipment (UE), one or more ready to receives (RTRs). The wireless communications device may determine, based on a number of consecutive RTRs of the one or more RTRs, a listen before talk (LBT) mode. The LBT mode may be associated with staying or switching to a no receiver assistance mode or staying or switching to a receiver assistance mode.

Methods and systems of LBT adaptation and beam operation with interference handling for supporting NR above 52.6 GHz

An apparatus including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for monitoring synchronous signals and physical broadcast channels (SSBs) from a network node. The apparatus also includes a processor, operably coupled to the non-transitory memory, configured to execute a set of instructions. The instructions include configuring the apparatus for a STTC (SSB Transmission Timing Configuration). The STTC is a time interval with plural locations accommodating transmission of the SSBs. The instructions also include monitoring the STTC for the SSBs. The instructions further include determining a first one of the SSBs in a first slot of a subframe in a scheduled SSB transmission in the STTC has been transmitted at a first scheduled location, where the transmission of the first one of the SSBs is based upon confirmation of a successful Listen Before Talk (LBT) available channel prior to the scheduled SSB transmission in the STTC.

Blind coverage for wireless devices is enhanced varying one or more transmission characteristics of a repeated transmission sent or received by apparatuses, where the repeated transmission includes, for example a Physical Downlink Shared CHannel (PDSCH) and/or a Physical Uplink Shared CHannel (PUSCH) transmissions. Varied characteristics may include a start time for each repetition, a duration for each repetition, a start frequency for each repetition, a bandwidth of each repetition, a number of repetitions for each subframe, and/or a number of repetitions for each slot. Repetitions may be within a Bandwidth Part (BWP) or span multiple BWPs. Repetitions may vary from one to another in start time, start frequency, duration, bandwidth, and slot and subframe patterns. Higher level signalling, such as Radio Resource Control (RRC) signalling may be used to control the inclusion or omission of a DeModulation Reference Signal (DMRS) in repeated transmissions.

Coverage enhancement for reduced capability new radio devices

Switching between Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA) and Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) modes of a user equipment (UE) can be determined and indicated by a gNB to a UE at an RRC connected state using one or more of the following schemes: at an RRC (Radio Resource Control) layer with an RRC configuration message, at a MAC (Medium Access Control) layer with MAC CE (MAC control element) signaling, at a PHY (Physical) layer with DCI (Downlink Control Information) signaling, jointly with RRC configuration and DCI signaling, and/or jointly with RRC configuration and MAC CE signaling. The OMA or NOMA mode that the UE operates after the transition may be requested by the UE, indicated by the gNB, and/or may be based on one or more rules for OMA-NOMA switching.

A user equipment (UE) determines sidelink resources for use in vehicle wireless communications. Initial beam establishment uses a Sidelink Synchronization Signal (SLSS), a Sidelink Channel State Information Reference Signal (SL-CSI-RS), or a Sidelink Demodulation Reference Signal (SL-DMRS). Beam refinement may then be conducted either by UEs in communication with each other, or by just one of the UEs. A base station such as a gNB may assign resources for a dedicated sidelink carrier or a shared licensed sidelink carrier, e.g., dynamically, as pre-configured by RRC, or based on activation and deactivation. In such cases, initial beam establishment and refinement may include gNB controlled beam forming at a connectionless stage, gNB controlled beam forming at connection stage with scheduling DCI transmitted to Tx UE only, or gNB controlled beam forming at connection stage with scheduling DCI transmitted to both Tx UE and Rx UE.

A method and apparatus for transmitting uplink control information (UCI) for Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) using carrier aggregation is disclosed. Methods for UCI transmission in the uplink control channel, uplink shared channel or uplink data channel are disclosed. The methods include transmitting channel quality indicators (CQI), precoding matrix indicators (PMI), rank indicators (RI), hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement/non-acknowledgement (ACK/NACK), channel status reports (CQI/PMI/RI), source routing (SR) and sounding reference signals (SRS). In addition, methods for providing flexible configuration in signaling UCI, efficient resource utilization, and support for high volume UCI overhead in LTE-A are disclosed.

An apparatus in accordance with the present application may monitor a sidelink (SL) connection. The apparatus includes processing circuitry that receives signals in a protocol stack to perform SL-radio link monitoring (SL-RLM), and determines, according to the signals, whether a SL-radio link failure (RLF) has occurred. The signals may include hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback. In a case that the signals include a HARQ-NACK, the processing circuitry determines that the SL-RLF has occurred. The processing circuitry further receives configuration information related to the SL-RLM for the signals, the configuration information including configurations for measurement quantities of the signals and a condition for declaring SL-RLF, configures, according to the configuration information, lower layers of the protocol stack for the SL-RLM for the signals, and performs SL-RLM measurements of the measurement quantities.

The exchange of resource allocation assistance information between a requester User Equipment (UE) and an assistant UE allows the requester to make better resource allocation decisions. The assistance information may include a blacklist, a whitelist, resource allocation information, a candidate resource set, and measurement information, for example. Both UEs may have an assistance configuration to assist in the exchange of resource allocation assistance information, that may be obtained from a third apparatus, such as a base station. The configuration may include information related to when to trigger assistance, identities of UEs, and types of assistance information, for example. The requester may, based on the assistance information received, modify a candidate resource set at a Medium Access Control (MAC) layer. The requester may, at the MAC layer, determine a configured sidelink grant for a selected destination using assistance information targeting this destination.
