A system for wind noise suppression is disclosed. The system comprising a first and a second primary microphone configured to generate a first and a second primary electric signal indicative of a first and second primary audio signal, respectively. The system further comprises a secondary detector configured to generate a first secondary electric signal indicative of a secondary audio signal. The system comprises a signal processor comprising a wind strength module configured to determine a wind strength, based on the first primary electric signal and the second primary electric signal, a wind noise module configured to determine a noise estimate, based on the wind strength, and a noise reduction module configured to process the first secondary electric signal to generate a noise-suppressed secondary signal, based on the determined noise estimate.

An audio device comprising an interface, memory, and a processor is disclosed. A first microphone input signal and a second microphone input signal is processed for provision of an output audio signal; and output the output audio signal, wherein to process the microphone signals determine a first distractor indicator based on features associated with the input signals; determine a first distractor attenuation parameter based on the first distractor indicator; determine a second distractor indicator based on one or more features associated with the first microphone input signal and the second microphone input signal; determine a second distractor attenuation parameter based on the second distractor indicator; determine an attenuator gain based on the first distractor attenuation parameter and the second gain compensation parameter; and apply a noise suppression scheme to a first beamforming output signal according to the attenuator gain for provision of the output audio signal.

Audio device and method for operating an audio device is disclosed, the audio device. A processor is configured to: obtain a first microphone input signal and a second microphone input signal; process the first microphone input signal and the second microphone input signal for provision of an output signal; and output the output signal, then obtain a first microphone signal and a second microphone signal; determine a gain compensation scheme based on the first microphone signal and the second microphone signal; and compensate a gain of the microphone signals; wherein to determine the gain compensation scheme comprises to: apply a plurality of test compensation schemes to the first microphone signal and the second microphone signal; determine a performance parameter for each of the test compensation schemes; and select the gain compensation scheme based on the performance parameters.

An audio device is disclosed, the audio device comprising an interface, memory, and a processor, wherein the processor is configured according to any of the following: obtain a first microphone input signal and a second microphone input signal; process the first microphone input signal and the second microphone input signal for provision of an output audio signal; and output the output audio signal. Processing of the input signals includes determine a first set of covariance parameters and a second set of covariance parameters; determine a first beamforming; apply the first beamforming to the first microphone input signal and the second microphone input signal; determine a second beamforming; apply the second beamforming to the first microphone input signal and the second microphone input signal; and provide the output audio signal based on first beamforming output signal and/or second beamforming output signal.

Audio device with dual beamforming

A headset adapted to transmitting an outgoing audio signal (Tx) and comprising a voice microphone and at least one ambient microphone. The headset comprises an ambient noise reduction block (ANR), which is adapted to reduce the level of ambient noise in the outgoing audio signal (Tx). The ambient noise reduction block (ANR) includes the measuring the levels of the voice microphone signal (X) and ambient microphone signal (Y) to estimate a characteristic constant level drop between the voice microphone signal (X) and the ambient microphone signal (Y), which is characteristic for the headset user talking. A time-varying filter passes the voice microphone signal (X), when the level difference is larger than characteristic constant level drop (CLD) and attenuates the voice microphone signal (X), if the level difference is below characteristic constant level drop.
