A head-mountable device can include a display, an arm, a bi-stable hinge connecting the arm to the display, the bi-stable hinge and the arm including an open position, a folded position, and a splay position. A first electronic component can be positionally fixed between the display and the bi-stable hinge, a second electronic component can be positioned distal to the bi-stable hinge, and a cable can connect the first electronic component and the second electronic component, the cable being routed through the bi-stable hinge.

Electronic device

A head mountable electronic device can include a display frame, a display window secured to the display frame, and a fixed portion extending distally from the display frame, the fixed portion including a proximal end adjacent the display window, a distal end opposite the proximal end, and an electronic component. The head mountable electronic device can also include a securement arm, the securement arm including a hinge segment rotatably coupling the securement arm with the proximal end of the fixed portion and an elongated member extending distally from the hinge.

A securement arm for an optical device includes a first portion having a first electronic component, the first portion connected to a viewing frame of the optical device. The securement arm also includes a second portion having a second electronic component coupled to the first portion by a spring element. The spring element can include a plastic deformation element and an elastic element. The securement arm also includes an electrical connector extending through the spring element and electrically connecting the first electronic component and the second electronic component.
