The bundle server may identify each of the stocked food products using image recognition, and associate at least one of the identified stocked food products with a recipe. The recipe may include needed food products. The bundle server may generate a product bundle for purchase that includes the needed food products. The product bundle may have a bundle price less than a sum of individual purchase prices of each of the needed food products. The bundle server may also communicate the product bundle for purchase and the bundle price to the user device, and generate a digital promotion redeemable toward the purchase of the product bundle and communicate the digital promotion to the user device.

A component supply processing server may obtain component purchase data for different components from different component suppliers, and obtain purchase settlement data between retailers and manufacturers, each manufacturer selling a product to the retailers, and each product including at least one of the different components. A learning algorithm may determine a predicted shortage of a given component by associating the manufacturers with a given component based upon the corresponding product, and accepting the component purchase data to determine component purchase patterns for each of the different components. The algorithm may determine the predicted shortage by the purchase settlement data to determine product purchase patterns for the products, and correlate the component and product purchase patterns to determine the predicted shortage. The server may generate a digital promotion for a given product based upon the component determined to have the predicted shortage, and communicate the digital promotion to a shopper device.

Component supply digital coupon generation system and related methods

A digital wallet generation system may include a user device associated with a given user and configured to acquire an image of a health insurance card associated with the given user. The health insurance card may have a unique identifier (UID). The system may also include a digital wallet server configured to generate a digital wallet for the given user based upon the UID, and communicate with a health insurance provider server associated with a health insurance provider to determine at least one of an available product and service provided by the health insurance provider for the benefit of the given user and paid by the health insurance provider based upon the UID. The server may also be configured to generate a digital coupon having a redeemable value redeemable toward the at least one of the available product and service, and store the digital coupon in the digital wallet.

A system may include a point-of-sale (POS) terminal, and a server configured to obtain, from the POS terminal, a purchase transaction identifier and a purchase amount associated with a purchase transaction of a given user. The server may also be configured to obtain, from a payment card processing server, a payment card transaction token associated with the purchase transaction, and match the payment card transaction token to the purchase transaction identifier, and based thereon, generate a loyalty account associated with the given user based upon the payment card transaction token. The server may apply the algorithm to determine a shopper value for the given shopper based upon the historical purchase data for the shoppers and, the corresponding shopper values for the shoppers, and update the machine learning algorithm based upon the shopper value for the given shopper. The server may also communicate a notification to the user device soliciting the given shopper to enroll in a retailer loyalty program for payment to the given shopper of the shopper value for the given shopper.

Shopper valuation system and related methods

A food product recommendation system may include a camera configured to obtain an image of a food product area having available food products and a remote device associated with a given user. The system may also include a recommendation server configured to cooperate with the remote device to obtain a desired food product characteristic from the given user and determine recommended food products from the available food products based upon the desired food product characteristic. The recommendation server may also be configured to associate a corresponding food product identifier to each recommended food product and communicate the recommended food products to the remote device. The remote device may display the image of the food product area with the recommended food products augmented with the corresponding food product identifiers and obtain user selection for purchase of at least one of the recommended food products based upon the corresponding food product identifier.

A food portioning system may include a food plate body and a scale associated with the food plate body to sense a weight of food carried thereby. The system may also include wireless communications circuitry coupled to the scale, and a mobile wireless communications device associated with a given user. The mobile wireless communications device may be configured to obtain a user-selected food recipe from the given user, obtain user health data associated with the given user, and obtain a desired consumable food weight for the food plate body based upon the user-selected food recipe and the user health data associated with the given user. The mobile wireless communications device may also be configured to wirelessly communicate with the wireless communications circuitry to obtain a sensed consumable food weight, compare the sensed consumable food weight with the desired consumable food weight, and generate a notification based upon the comparing.

A food item selection system may include a remote device configured to obtain an image of a food item having an associated ripeness and a selection server configured to store respective ripeness preferences for users. The selection server may also be configured to obtain the image of the food item from the remote device, determine a ripeness of the food item based upon the image, and associate the image with a given user from among the users. The selection server may also be configured to compare the determined ripeness with the respective ripeness preference for the given user and send a selection notification to the remote device based on the comparing.

A food item system may include a remote device associated with a given shopper and a weight sensor associated with a food product display that includes food items. The food item system may also include a food item processing server configured to add at least one user selected food item from among the food items to a virtual shopping cart associated with the given shopper based upon proximity of the remote device to the food product display and a change in weight from the weight sensor indicative that the at least one user selected food item has been removed from the food product display. The promotion processing server may also be configured to cooperate with the camera of the remote device to obtain a facial image of the given user during consumption of ingredients of the selected meal recipe, determine a satisfaction level with the selected meal recipe based upon the facial image, and generate a digital promotion toward another meal recipe having at least one common ingredient with the ingredients of the selected meal recipe based upon the satisfaction level. The promotion processing server may also communicate the digital promotion to the remote device.
