Unleaded blend composition having a Motor Octane Number (MON) of at least 80 having less than 42% of aromatic compounds, and at least 2% by volume of the total composition of component (a'), which is a substantially aliphatic hydrocarbon refinery stream of MON value of at least 85. At least 70% in total of the stream is branched chain alkanes, the stream being obtained by distillation from a refinery material as a cut having Initial Boiling Point of at least 15&#xb0; C. and Final Boiling Point of at most 160&#xb0; C. The Boiling Points are measured according to ASTMID2892. At least 5% of at least one paraffin, aromatic hydrocarbon compound or olefinic hydrocarbon has a bp 60-160&#xb0; C., with not more than 5% of the total composition of hydrocarbon having a bp more than 160&#xb0; C. Less than 5% 2,2,3-trimethylbutane or 2,2,3-trimethylpentane is present.

A process for preparing at least two compositions suitable for production of gasoline, which process comprises: fractionating an alkylation product to produce a first cut boiling in the range 90-106&#xb0; C., a second cut boiling at temperature lower than said first cut, and a third cut boiling at a temperature above said first Cut, blending at least 2% by volume of said first cut with at least 5% of a component selected from at least one of a paraffin, an aromatic hydrocarbon and an olefinic hydrocarbon, said component having a boiling point of 60-160&#xb0; C., wherein not more than 5% of the total composition of hydrocarbon has a boiling point of more than 160&#xb0; C. and wherein said composition comprises less than 5% of 2,2,3-trimethylbutane or 2,2,3-trimethylpentane, to produce a first high octane unleaded gasoline composition of RON at least 97 and MON value at least 86, and incorporating said second and third cuts with said component to produce a second high octane unleaded gasoline composition of RON at least 92 and MON value at least 80.

A process for preparing a gasoline including blending appropriate components together to prepare a gasoline having a final boiling point of less than 200&#xb0; C. and contacting the blended gasoline as a whole with a decolorizing, activated carbon. The carbon removes at least some of the following trace impurities: indanes, naphthalenes, phenanthrenes, pryene, alkylbenzene, and mixtures thereof. The prepared gasoline, when combusted, can provide reduced deposits.

Process for treating fuel

An aviation gasoline composition comprising at least one tri-methyl pentane hydrocarbon and at least one Cor Calkane wherein the amount of the at least one tri-methyl pentane in said composition is 10 to 90 vol %, the composition is substantially free of any lead compounds and the composition has a motor octane number of at least 92 and less than 98. The composition of the present invention may be made by blending together one or more process streams and may be used in a spark ignition aviation engine.

Aviation gasoline composition, its preparation and use

Dispenser and method of use

Method for controlling movement of a liquid from a first location to a second location via a dispenser for the liquid located in a liquid line between the first and second location. The dispenser includes a nozzle, an internal liquid conduit, a valve, a body portion, a hollow annular collar and a first detector. The first detector is located in the collar which is positioned around the nozzle or between the nozzle and the body portion such that the first detector is in vapor communication with a vapor space above the second location. The vapor from the vapor space is analyzed by withdrawing the vapor past the first detector and using the results of the analysis to control the operation of the valve.
