A system includes a running tool having a carrier with an axial drive, an arm coupled to the axial drive, and a tool engagement bracket coupled to the arm. The tool engagement bracket is configured to couple to a pressure cap assembly having a clamp assembly disposed about a pressure cap. The tool engagement bracket includes a torque tool opening configured to enable engagement of a torque tool with the clamp assembly. The axial drive is configured to move the arm, the tool engagement bracket, and the pressure cap assembly along an axial path of travel along a central axis of the pressure cap. The system has at least one of: the running tool is configured to install or remove the pressure cap assembly within a window of a hydrocarbon system having first and second fluid systems removably coupled together, or the running tool is configured to removably couple to the pressure cap assembly.

System and method for installing or retrieving a pressure cap assembly

A flowline jumper for providing fluid communication between first and second spaced apart subsea structures includes a length of conduit having a predetermined size and shape and first and second connectors deployed on opposing ends of the conduit. The first and second connectors are configured to couple with corresponding connectors on the subsea structures. At least one electronic sensor is deployed on the conduit. The sensor is configured to measure at least one of a vibration and a load in the conduit.

An apparatus includes a flowline connector having an inboard pipe and an outboard assembly. The outboard assembly includes a frame and an outboard pipe moveable within the frame to allow the outboard pipe to be moved toward the inboard pipe. The outboard assembly also includes a profile pipe in which the outboard pipe is received, and the profile pipe and the outboard pipe are connected to move together. The profile pipe includes at least one guide to change pitch or yaw of the outboard pipe to direct the outboard pipe toward alignment with the inboard pipe as the outboard pipe is moved within the frame toward the inboard pipe. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Horizontal connector system and method

A subsea connector assembly with flowmeter incorporated therein. The assembly is particularly configured for securing a flexible flowline at subsea production managing hardware such as at a manifold at a seabed or Christmas tree at a well head. Incorporating a flowmeter into the connector as opposed to such comparatively larger scale hardware ultimately saves substantial material, transport, installation, footspace and other costs.

A gasket capable of sealing against multiple sealing surfaces, comprising an inner seal ring for sealing against inner sealing surfaces, an outer seal ring for sealing against outer sealing surfaces, one or more intermediate seal rings for sealing against one or more intermediate sealing surfaces, and a connector member for connecting the inner seal ring, one or more intermediate seal rings and the outer seal ring. In some embodiments, the gasket includes a retaining feature for securing the gasket in place and a removal feature for removing the gasket. In some embodiments, the various components of the gasket (e.g., seal rings, connector members, retaining feature, etc.) are composed of different materials (e.g., metal, metal alloy, plastic, rubber, ceramic and/or glass).

A subsea flowline jumper connector includes at least one electronic connector deployed thereon. The sensor may provide data indicative of the connector state during installation and production operations.

Instrumented subsea flowline jumper connector

A technique for engaging a bore connector with a receptacle on subsea equipment. The technique may include providing an operator with a visual indication of acceptable alignment between the connector and the receptacle in advance of attaining engagement. In this way, a proper and reliably sealed engagement may be achieved. Further, the bore connector and techniques for use thereof include added indication of completed sealed engagement sufficient for testing and/or operational use of the connector in supporting a fluid application directed at the equipment through the receptacle.

A technique facilitates clamping operations by providing mechanical advantage. According to an embodiment, a clamping system comprises a clamp having a plurality of clamp segments with surfaces oriented to securely hold and clamp mating features, e.g. mating hubs, of adjacent components. The clamping system also may comprise an actuator coupled to the clamp to enable selective shifting of the clamp between an open position to receive the mating features and a closed position in which the clamp segments are contracted together to secure engagement of those features. A driver is coupled to the actuator to enable movement, e.g. shifting, of the actuator when opening or closing the clamp. The actuator facilitates operation of the driver via, for example, an ROV by providing mechanical advantage and thus increasing the clamping force applied by the clamp to the mating features.

A string of conduit extending from a subsea wellhead assembly to a surface wellhead assembly on a platform has a plurality of grooved profiles on an upper portion of the conduit. Each profile is spaced axially from another of the grooved profiles. After a lower end of the conduit is secured to the subsea wellhead assembly, the operator pulls on the conduit to apply a selected tension to the conduit. The operator attaches a support ring to the profile that was closest to and above a load shoulder in the surface wellhead assembly when the desired tension was reached. After landing the support ring on the load shoulder, the operator may cut off any excess portion of the upper portion of the conduit located above the support ring. A seal ring is set between the upper portion of the conduit and the surface wellhead housing.

In a subsea wellhead assembly, a collet ring assembly is used with a hanger for suspending a string of conduit in a subsea wellhead assembly. The ring assembly includes a collet that extends around an outer surface of the hanger. The collet has an upper portion that rotates radially between locked and unlocked positions. The ring assembly has a protruding lower portion extending radially outward from the hanger for engaging an interior surface of the wellhead assembly, which causes the upper portion of the collet to rotate radially outward to engage the interior surface of the wellhead assembly in a locked position. The ring assembly includes a back-up ring that engages the interior of the collet, which the collet rotates around between its locked and unlocked positions.
