A method includes receiving an output radio frequency (RF) signal. The method includes generating a digitized output RF signal representing the output RF signal. The method includes transmitting an output RF waveform associated with the output RF signal. The method includes receiving a return RF waveform based on transmission of the output RF waveform. The method includes generating a digitized return RF signal representing a return RF signal associated with the return RF waveform. The method includes serializing the digitized output RF signal and the digitized return RF signal to generate a serialized baseband signal. The method includes communicating a bit stream based on the serialized baseband signal to an RF unit. The RF unit is configured to generate an altitude measurement, a ground speed measurement, or both for a vehicle based on the serialized baseband signal.

An aircraft inspection system is configured to inspect one or more components of an aircraft before a flight. The aircraft inspection system includes an inspection robot that is configured to inspect the component(s) of the aircraft. The inspection robot includes a conveying sub-system that is configured to efficiently move the inspection robot to different locations, and a sensing sub-system including one or more sensors that are configured to sense one or more characteristics of the component(s) during an inspection. The sensing sub-system is configured to record the characteristic(s) as inspection data.

Aircraft inspection systems and methods

A system for detecting anomalies is provided. The system includes a computer system including at least one processor in communication with at least one memory device. The computer system receives communications from a remote computer platform. The at least one processor is programmed to execute real-time a simulation model of the remote computer platform. The simulation model simulates inputs and outputs of the remote computer platform based on real-time data. The at least one processor is also programmed to receive one or more outbound communications transmitted from the remote computer platform, generate one or more outputs of the simulation model, compare the one or more outbound communications transmitted from the remote computer platform to the one or more outputs of the simulation model, detect one or more differences based on the comparison, and generate an output based on the one or more differences.

Systems and methods for detecting cybersecurity threats

Disclosed herein is an impact recoverable antenna assembly. The antenna assembly includes, in certain examples, a conductive antenna element that is deformable from a default configuration to a deformed configuration in response to a deformation event. The conductive antenna element includes a first layer and a second layer that at least partially surrounds the first layer. In certain examples, one of the first layer or the second layer comprises a shape memory alloy configured to deform the conductive antenna element from the deformed configuration to the default configuration in response to a restoration event.

In examples, systems and methods for using skewed waveforms to eject debris using electromagnetic propulsion are disclosed. The systems and methods include a first electronic device having a surface. The systems and methods also include a signal generator configured to generate a skewed signal configured to cause a movement of particles on the surface of the first electronic device. Additionally, the systems and methods include an antenna coupled to the signal generator, where the antenna is configured to receive the skewed signal from the signal generator and radiate the skewed signal as electromagnetic energy proximate to the surface of the first electronic device.

Methods and apparatuses for clearing particles from a surface of an electronic device using skewed waveforms to eject debris by way of electromagnetic propulsion

Design, application and implementations of magnetic loops and ring structures are disclosed which may be used to favorably shape or alter electromagnetic fluxes around the transmission lines or waveguides. In transmission lines, application of this system of rings offers opportunities in performance tuning, for example, to achieve more bandwidth or to adjust port impedances. In waveguides, these structures allow selective suppression of excitation of transverse electromagnetic modes (TEMs), hence improving TEM modal purities. The system of rings includes a substrate and a conductive structure for propagating an electromagnetic signal, the conductive structure in contact with the substrate. The device also includes an electrically conductive magnetic, non-conductive magnetic or metallic ring structure positioned within the substrate and proximate to the conductive structure.

Magnetic rings as feeds and for impedance adjustment

Methods and systems for producing magnetic walls for use in a switchable or activated non-reciprocal antenna array are presently disclosed. The non-reciprocal antenna array includes a plurality of omni-directional antennas linearly aligned with a phase center of each omni-directional antenna antennas on a line. Each antenna of the plurality of omni-directional antennas has an antenna rotation respective to the line. The array also includes an antenna spacing between the antennas equaling 360 degrees divided by a quantity of antennas in a full operational wavelength. Additionally, the array includes a set of antenna feeds corresponding to one feed for each antenna. The set of antenna feeds is configured to selectively enable or disable the plurality of antennas. When the plurality of omni-directional antennas are enabled, the array has a composite radiation pattern in having a maximum in one direction perpendicular to the line and a minimum in an opposite direction.

Antenna and radiator configurations producing magnetic walls

A multi-mode phased array antenna ('MPAA') is disclosed. The MPAA has at least two modes of operation, where a first mode of operation produces a first main-beam and a second mode of operation produces a second beam. The MPAA includes a plurality of radiating elements arranged as an array of radiating elements and a controller in signal communication with the plurality of radiating elements. The controller is configured to excite the plurality of radiating elements to produce a first radiation pattern having the first main-beam in the first mode of operation and a second radiation pattern having the second beam in the second mode of operation. The second beam is wider than the first main-beam and the second radiation pattern is similar to a radiation pattern for a single radiating element of the plurality of radiating elements. The controller also switches between the first mode and second mode of operation.

Wideband beam broadening for phased array antenna systems

Adjustable load line amplifier circuits may comprise a power amplifier that has a signal input terminal to receive an input signal, a powered signal output terminal to be coupled to a load that has changing impedances, and a transistor array of transistor cells operatively coupled in parallel between the signal input terminal and the powered signal output terminal such that the transistor cells are independently configured to amplify the input signal present at the signal input terminal and effect a selected load line impedance of the transistor array that corresponds to at least one of the changing impedances of the load. The transistor array controller may be configured to effect the selected load line impedance by selectively activating one or more of the transistor cells and/or providing the transistor cells with a selectable operating voltage.

Adjustable load line power amplifier circuits and methods

Systems and methods are provided for tunable band pass filtering for Tunable RF Anti-Jamming Systems. A tunable notch filter includes a transmission line coupled to an antenna, a splitter, a band-stop filter, a polarity inverter, and a combiner. In operation, the band-stop filter suppresses predetermined frequency bands of a received signal creating a filtered signal, the polarity inverter creates an inverted signal, and the combiner combines the filtered and inverted signals to create a pass band including the predetermined frequency bands and suppressing frequency bands adjacent the predetermined frequency bands. Alternatively, a tunable multiband bandpass filter includes first and second bandpass filters and a plurality of tunable passive components adapted to tune the first and second bandpass filters to first and second frequency bands, thereby creating a multiband pass band signal including the first and second frequency bands and attenuating frequency bands adjacent to the first and second frequency bands.

Tunable RF anti-jamming system (TRAJS)

A tunable notch filter, comprises a transmission line coupled to an antenna; a plurality of ring resonators inductively coupled to the transmission line, wherein each ring resonator of the plurality of ring resonators is grounded and comprises a variable microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) capacitor; wherein a set of variable MEMS capacitors of the plurality of variable MEMS capacitors are independently tunable to vary a notch location and a notch width of the tunable notch filter; and wherein a set of ring resonators of the plurality of ring resonators further comprises an attenuator configured to reduce power reflected from the antenna.
