The protective member includes a tubular woven wall extending between opposite open ends about a central axis and a tubular braided wall fixed to the tubular woven wall. One end of the tubular woven wall is configured to overlie the electrical member to provide protection thereto, and the tubular braided wall extends away from the other of the opposite open ends of the tubular woven wall about the central axis for operable attachment a wire harness.

Impact and cut-through resistant, self-locating, multilayered textile sleeve and method of construction thereof

A textile sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve has a wall with opposite edges extending lengthwise between opposite ends. The edges are configured to be wrapped about a central longitudinal axis to bound the elongate member within an enclosed cavity. The wall is formed of interlaced heat-resistant yarn with at least one hook-type fastener member along one of the edges and at least one loop-type fastener member along the other of the edges. The hook-type fastener member and the loop-type fastener member are configured to attach with one another to maintain the opposite edges in releasably fixed, overlapping relation with one another.

The multilayered textile sleeve includes a plurality of textile layers overlying one another to form a multilayered tubular wall extending lengthwise about a central axis between opposite open ends. At least one silicone layer is sandwiched between the textile innermost layer and the textile outer layer.

A protective textile sleeve for routing and protecting elongate members against impact and method of constructed thereof are provided. The sleeve includes a plurality of yarns interlaced with one another, with the interlaced yarns forming an elongate, circumferentially continuous, tubular wall extending lengthwise along a longitudinal axis between opposite open ends. At least some of the plurality of yarns include tubular yarn having a central cavity extending along the length of the tubular yarn, thereby providing an impact resistant, dual layered wall to the tubular yarn. The sleeve can be constructed in a weaving, braiding or knitting process, wherein the tubular yarn can be interlaced as a woven yarn, braided yarn, or knit yarn, and further, the tubular yarn can be interlaced as an inserted yarn.

Impact resistant, tubular textile sleeve and method of construction thereof

A protective textile sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve has a flexible, tubular wall of braided yarns. At least some of the yarns are provided as a plurality of monofilaments and at least some of the yarns are provided as a plurality of multifilaments. The plurality of multifilaments are braided in a plurality of separate bundles. Each of the bundles includes at least two multifilaments. The monofilaments are embedded into the multifilaments during the braiding process to lock the multifilaments in an 'as braided' location to prevent shifting of the multifilaments during application and during use, thereby enhancing the abrasion resistance of the sleeve wall.

Abrasion resistant braided textile sleeve and method of construction thereof

A wrappable textile sleeve for protecting an elongate member and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes a plurality of warp filaments and at least one weft filament woven with one another to form a woven wall. The woven wall has opposite sides extending lengthwise between opposite ends. The opposite sides are wrappable about a central longitudinal axis into overlapping relation with one another to bound the elongate member within a cavity of the sleeve. At least one warp and/or weft filament is provided as a bulky, fluffy multifilament, wherein the bulky, fluffy multifilament is woven to form at least one float extending over 2 or more weft and/or warp yarns, wherein the at least one float provides loops sufficient to readily fix themselves to hooks of a standard hook and loop fastener.
