A mono-rail crane system (and a corresponding operation method) for use in an aircraft. The crane system comprises a first longitudinal mono-rail installable on the underside of a rear cargo door of the airplane parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rear cargo door; a second longitudinal mono-rail, which is installable on a cargo hold ceiling of the aircraft, and, in the fully opened state of the rear cargo door, in aligned continuity with the first longitudinal mono-rail so that the longitudinal axes of the first and second longitudinal mono-rails coincide to form one common longitudinal axis; a crane mobile equipment configured to be moved along the first and second longitudinal mono-rails in order to hoist and transfer the load; and a linear actuator configured to advance and retreat the second longitudinal monorail towards and away from the first longitudinal monorail.

Mono-rail crane system in an aircraft

A fastening device is disclosed for releasably fastening a mechanism in the region of a floor of an aircraft or spacecraft and includes a base component and a latch component. The latch component includes at least one holding portion including a latch-component-side holding face and is movably coupled to the base component between an unlocked and a locked position. When positioned in a predefined mounting position on the floor component and/or on the base component, the holding portion of the latch component engages a fastening portion, and the latch-component-side holding face faces the mechanism-side holding face. During passage of the latch component from locked position into unlocked position a gap between the latch-component-side holding face and the mechanism-side holding face continuously widens. The invention further relates to an arrangement for a cargo loading system.

A cargo restraining assembly is configured to be mounted to a cargo deck surface of an aircraft, the cargo restraining assembly comprising two guidance and restraint bars running in parallel to each other, and at least one lateral bracket spanning between the two guidance and restraint bars and being fixedly connected to each of two guidance and restraint bars. The lateral bracket includes a bracket foot formed integrally with the lateral bracket and a quick release mechanism configured to quick-releasably couple the bracket foot to a seat track profile of the cargo deck surface of the aircraft.

Cargo restraining assembly, cargo loading system and aircraft

A cargo restraining barrier configured to be mounted to a cargo deck surface of an aircraft. The cargo restraining barrier includes a base portion, a barrier portion arranged substantially perpendicular to the base portion at a first edge on the top side of the base portion, a plurality of force diverting struts mounted in parallel along the extension of the barrier portion between a backside of the barrier portion and a second edge of the base portion opposite to the first edge of the base portion. The force diverting struts are configured to divert forces acting on the front side of the barrier portion towards the base portion, and a plurality of first latches distributed over the bottom side of the base portion, hooking into tie down rings of a cargo deck surface and to direct the diverted forces from the force diverting struts into the cargo deck surface.

The invention relates to a cargo handling system for loading and securing one or more freight containers in a cargo hold of an aircraft. The system includes bracket members configured to be secured to a base or floor of the cargo hold, and elongate guide members, each of which is mounted on and interconnects a number of the bracket members arranged in a row, wherein each guide member forms a restraint or a stop against lateral movement of a freight container loaded in the cargo hold. The bracket members include at least one fastening portion configured for tool-less fast-release engagement and locking with a seat track profile in the base or floor of the cargo hold. Furthermore, the bracket members typically extend transversely inwards or inboard of the elongate guide members.

Cargo handling system

An end stop device for restraining an ULD from movement across a cargo deck surface of an aircraft includes a main body; and a mounting interface connected to the main body which is configured and arranged to attach the end stop device to the cargo deck by means of a corresponding tie down ring. Each mounting interface includes a tongue-like support plate which is partially protruding below a bottom side of the main body, at least one recess arranged in an area above the support plate, wherein side walls of the recess form a frame-like structure. and a bolt portion extending from the support plate into the recess and partially surrounded by the frame-like structure. The bolt portion is configured to engage the tie down ring in an operation mode where the end stop device is fixed to a tie down ring.
