A method and a system for detecting defects in solar panels. The method includes collecting an image dataset of infrared images of the at least one mounted and operational solar panel; applying the image dataset to a YOLOS-PV convolutional neural network; converting the image dataset to a set of patches; applying position embedding to each patch and generating a set of position embedded patches; applying the set of position embedded patches to a transformer block encoder; generating a set of detection tokens; applying the set of detection tokens to an array of multi-layer perceptron (MLP) heads; classifying defects in the position embedded patches; setting, by the MLP heads, a plurality of Bpred bounding boxes for each of the set of position embedded patches; and identifying a solar panel in need of repair based on the defects in the set of position embedded patches and the plurality of Bpred bounding boxes.

Method and system for detecting defects in solar panels

A method and a system for performing crowd management in a religious site includes receiving registration information from a plurality of pilgrims, including mobile numbers for receiving text messages. The method includes periodically capturing, by a plurality of surveillance cameras, camera view images for views of each camera of respective portions of the religious site. The method includes automatically estimating a number of pilgrims in each camera view image using an Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithm. The method includes automatically detecting a percentage of mobile numbers of pilgrims occupying overcrowded areas and sending text messages to the detected percentage of mobile numbers that direct the pilgrims to different areas where the camera view images have low crowd density.

Method and system for crowd management in religious sites

A floating solar photovoltaic system and a method for cooling a back surface of a photovoltaic panel are described. The floating solar photovoltaic system includes a rectangular float having a divided top platform and four interconnected walls, and a cross-shaped support configured to fit between the walls and holding four pontoons within openings formed thereby. An anchoring system maintains positional stability using concrete blocks interconnected by plastic-coated stainless-steel wires. A bi-facial solar photovoltaic panel is supported by the cross-shaped support, upon triangular braces, to generate electrical power from solar radiation. A waterproof control panel cabinet is also supported with the cross-shaped support. The floating solar photovoltaic system implements environmental monitoring through temperature and irradiance sensors, with data collection and wireless transmission capabilities. An integrated power management system enables both energy storage and transmission through a maximum power point tracking converter.

The present invention contemplates a method and/or system for accurately and accelerated synchronization of communication networks. The method contemplates providing a virtual clock module in which all nodes of a network use the module in an identical manner and wherein the virtual clock module of nodes is generally a data stream whose element is the virtual time with whatever notice made is in communication with at that instant. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the method or system is processed using a finite impulse filter. The virtual clock in each node is responsible for generating a stream of data in which one may consider as virtual time. Each sample of the discrete time stream is constructed by its nearest neighbor of the node concerned communicating the current sample of its own virtual time stream to the node.

Methods and systems for accurate and accelerated synchronization for communication networks

A system and method for monitoring a predetermined condition in a harsh environment, includes wireless sensor nodes each having a physical clock and a soft clock. The sensor configured to detect the predetermined condition. Each wireless sensor node remains in a sleep mode, then independently, when a triggering event is true, the soft clock evolves a value of a dynamical local time variable using time variable values communicated by random other of the wireless sensor nodes that are within a single hop based on the harsh environment, infers from its dynamical local time variable the communication instant at which the dynamical local time variable is closest to the time value of the gateway node, and initializes the physical clock using the value of the dynamical local time variable at that instant to generate and communicate the local node time through the gateway node to the end-user device.

A system and associated methodology identifies and estimates relaxation frequencies, which are used by a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). These estimated relaxation frequencies are used to characterize and interpret a reflected GPR signal from a ground. The system also identifies the number of relaxation frequencies and estimates their magnitudes and values. The system also exhibits high resistance to noise.

The target-seeking control method and system for mobile robots uses a raw, ultrasonic sensory signal. The present method carries-out reasoning and decision-making in a subjective environment (SE) on-board the robot. This environment has only two links to the objective environment (OE) in which the robot is operating. If the robot is at a safe place in a SE, then it is at a safe place in the corresponding OE. If the robot reaches the target in a SE, then it reaches the target in the corresponding OE, The present method uses relaxed potential fields to base enroute mobility on safety, only without having to accurately estimate the geometry of the surrounding environment, thereby significantly reducing structure complexity and increasing its reliability.
