An annular packing (30) has a cross-section in the form of a dumbbell including two enlargements (31, 32) connected by a neck (33). In a preferred embodiment the enlargements exhibit a polygonal cross-section. The packing advantageously replaces an O-ring seal in which the interior diameter of the ring is large relative to the diameter of the cross-section of the ring. The packing is arranged between two parts driven at different speeds, in precision mechanisms or in horology.

Packing

This watch case includes an assembly (3) capable of being rotatively driven relative to a caseband (8), said assembly including a bezel (1) exhibiting an interior shoulder (20), a crystal (2) and an annular element forming a flange (5). A packing (9) is interposed between the bezel and the caseband. A casing ring (10, 11) is arranged within the caseband so as to receive a movement (7). The ring exhibits an annular rib (21) resting on the bezel shoulder (20) so as to retain said assembly (3) on said caseband (8).

Timepiece with a rotating bezel

The sealed control arrangement for a timepiece is lodged in a case (20) and includes a crown (46) rotating around a tube. The crown includes an integrally formed head (10), central portion (23) and lateral skirt (12). The internal wall (11) of the skirt exhibits a cylindrical surface over its entire height. A packing (13) having the form of an annular bandage surrounding the tube exhibits an annular projection (16) on its internal portion corporating with an annular groove (15) formed in the tube. The external portion of said bandage is shaped in a manner such that whatever be the axial position of the crown (46), the lower edge (24) of the internal wall of the skirt is always in contact with said external portion of the bandage. The arrangement allows correction of data displayed by the timepiece while exhibiting excellent reliability in respect of the sealing which it assures.
