A rocker arm rests on the cam follower lever and actuates the valve. An adjusting device acts on the rocker arm to adjust a valve lift. The rocker arm has first and second control surfaces with first and second radii of curvature, respectively, The cam follower lever has a third control surface with third radius of curvature. The first control surface contacts a fourth control surface of a guide element of the engine with fourth radius of curvature. The second control surface of the rocker arm contacts a valve element. The first to fourth radii of curvature are adjusted such that, when adjusting the valve lift, the valve does not open when the cam follower lever rests on a cam base circle section of the camshaft.

An actuating device for hydraulically securing a camshaft of an engine of a motor vehicle in a start position has a solenoid valve controlling the flow of a pressure medium to a camshaft adjuster with a rotary slide valve that is fixedly connected to the camshaft and moves the camshaft into the required start position according to the pressure medium supplied to it by the solenoid valve.

A pressure control valve for a high-pressure diesel pump of an injection device of a motor vehicle has a valve body and a piezo drive with a tappet securing the valve body in a closed position. The valve body in the closed position closes off a bore, containing a medium under pressure, relative to a pressure-relief bore. The piezo drive has at least one piezo element connected to the tappet. The piezo drive is mounted in a pump housing of the high-pressure diesel pump. A screw element receives the piezo drive and is used to screw the piezo drive into the mounting chamber of the pump housing.

An actuating device for a transmission of a motor vehicle has a housing and two pistons moveably arranged in the housing. A coupling part is arranged between the two pistons and is acted on by the two pistons so as to be moved by the two pistons. The coupling part is connected to a shifting part of the transmission and is made, at least on a surface of the coupling part, of wear-resistant material. The two pistons are loosely seated on the coupling part so that these parts can align themselves properly relative to one another after mounting.

A tappet is connected to the at least one piezo element. The tappet secures the valve body in a closing position. A bushing is provided in which the piston is slidably guided. The bushing has at least one annular groove into which at least one control bore opens.

A control device for semiautomatic gearshifting mechanisms of motor vehicles has a selector shaft of a gearshifting mechanism and at least one rotatable shifting element acting on the selector shaft so as to rotate and axially move the selector shaft for selecting a gutter and shifting a gear. A switching valve actuates the at least one shifting element for rotating the selector shaft and for axially moving the selector shaft. The shifting element is a shift drum with at least one control curve. The control curve is a groove in the mantle of the shifting element. The control device provides a simplified hydraulic control of the switching valves and has a simplified configuration.

A proportional solenoid valve for a high-pressure diesel pump of a motor vehicle has a housing and a solenoid with an armature movable in the housing. A bushing is provided, and a piston is arranged in the bushing. The armature acts on the piston for moving the piston in the bushing as a function of a current supply to the solenoid. At least one component is positioned between the bushing and the housing and is deformable in an axial direction of the piston so as to allow an exact adjustment of the position of the piston relative to the bushing.

A valve control for adjusting a stroke of valves in motor vehicles has at least one adjusting shaft for moving a valve shaft of a valve via at least one transmitting chain. At least one hydraulic drive is provided and acts on the at least one adjusting shaft. The hydraulic drive provides a limited rotation to the at least one adjusting shaft about an axis of the at least one adjusting shaft.

Valve control for adjusting the stroke of valves of motor vehicle engines

An arrangement is provided for relative angle-of-rotation adjustment of a camshaft of an internal-combustion engine with respect to a driving wheel. An interior part, non-rotatably connected with the camshaft, has at least approximately radially extending webs or vanes. A driven cell wheel has several cells distributed along the circumference and bounded by webs. The camshaft is rotatable by way of the webs or vanes between two end positions relative to the cell wheel, and the interior part is laterally bounded by two cover elements connected with the cell wheel. Recesses forming chambers are provided to reduce friction between the webs or vanes of the interior part and the cover elements in the side walls of the vanes directed to the cover elements. During operation of the internal-combustion engine, the recesses are at least partially acted upon by hydraulic oil.

Arrangement for the relative angle-of-rotation adjustment of a camshaft of an internal-combustion engine with respect to a driving wheel

A hydraulic system for actuating at least two operating systems of a motor vehicle has a first hydraulic medium reservoir for storing a hydraulic medium. A distribution valve is connected to the first hydraulic medium reservoir and to the operating systems of the motor vehicle. A control unit is connected to the distribution valve which is configured to distribute the hydraulic medium from the first hydraulic medium reservoir to the operating systems of the motor vehicle and to control flow of the hydraulic medium to the operating systems of the motor vehicle such that one of the operating systems has priority with regard to supply of the hydraulic medium. A first one of the operating systems is a brake device having a brake power assist unit, a brake valve, and a master brake cylinder. The brake power assist unit is connected via the brake valve to the control unit.

Hydraulic system for actuating at least two operating systems of a motor vehicle

A valve control mechanism for intake and exhaust valves of internal combustion engines is provided. The valve control mechanism has at least one piezo element, at least one valve element operated thereby, and at least one adjustment piston. Inflow and outflow of a pressure medium to the adjustment piston is controlled by the valve element. The adjustment piston is moveable by the pressure medium, against a counter pressure, for opening an intake or exhaust valve.
