A diaphragm spring for a friction clutch includes a ring-like body area and a plurality of spring tongues arranged at the inner edge in a row in a circumferential direction and extending radially inward from the body area. Openings are formed between adjacent spring tongues, each opening having a radially outer base area, at least one of the openings being limited in the circumferential direction by a wall area having a curvature which increases as the wall proceeds from the base area.

Diaphragm spring for a friction clutch

A diaphragm spring for a friction clutch includes a ring-like body area and a plurality of spring tongues arranged in a row in the circumferential direction and extending radially inward from the body area. A stiffening rib formed in at least one of the spring tongues extends radially into the body area.

A facing carrier of a driver disk for a clutch plate includes a plurality of segments situated at a slight distance from one another around a circumference of a reinforcement part. The segments are pretensioned against the reinforcement part during assembly and welded thereto. The spacing of the segments allows uniform pretensioning of the segments against the reinforcement part.

A torsional vibration damper includes a main damper arrangement with side disks which are fixedly connected to one another by welding to a flange ring and connected to an input part of the vibration damper. The side disks are coupled in a torsionally elastic manner with a central disk by first spring elements. The central disk is connected to the output part. A predamper arrangement is arranged axially to the side of the main damper arrangement and includes first and second predamper components which are coupled with one another in a torsionally elastic manner by second spring elements. The output part has a radially projecting projection which runs circumferentially at least partially and is arranged between the second predamper component and the main damper arrangement and fixes the main damper arrangement axially.

Torsional vibration damper

A clutch plate with a hub plate fitted onto a hub includes friction linings on a radially outer portion and covering metal plates arranged coaxially on both sides of the hub plate. The covering metal plates are connected in a rotationally fixed manner to one another via rivets. Each of the rivets includes a locking head on both sides.

Clutch plate for motor vehicle clutches

A driver plate for a torsion-suspended clutch plate of a motor vehicle friction clutch includes an annular disk-shaped lining support (1) composed of a plurality of segments (17), in the form of stamped sheet metal parts, and a reinforcement part (5), provided with windows (13) for receiving springs (15) of a torsion spring system of the clutch disk. The outer circumference of the reinforcement part forms a centering edge (21) to which the segments (17) are welded, resting against it with inner arc-shaped concave contact edges (19). The segments (17) can be produced with a comparatively small amount of stamping waste. The contact edge (19) of the segments (17) can have comparatively rough tolerances, if the openings (11) required for fastening of the friction linings are cut into the lining support (1) after the welding process.

Driver plate for a clutch plate of a motor vehicle friction clutch

The clutch disc for a motor vehicle friction clutch comprises a hub (1) with a lining carrier disc (9) held thereon and several friction lining plates (15), arranged in the region of the external circumference of the lining carrier disc and offset in the circumferential direction in relation to one another, axially on both sides of the lining carrier disc (9). The friction lining plates (15) arranged on at least one axial side of the lining carrier disc (9) are secured through axially resilient spring segments (23) on the lining carrier disc (9). The spring segments are radially domed and are held on the lining carrier disc (9) both in the circumferential direction on both sides laterally of the friction lining plate (15) by first rivets (35) and radially towards the hub (1) laterally of the friction lining plate (15) by second rivets (33). The first rivets (35) pass with radial play through holes (41) in the spring segment (23) and guide the spring segment (23) in the region of the holes (41) radially movably on the lining carrier disc (9). The clutch disc is distinguished by high mechanical and thermal loading capacity.

The torsional vibration damper comprises in apertures in an input part and in an output part rotatable in relation to the input part coil thrust springs which couple the input part and the output part together in torsionally elastic fashion. Over a plurality of turns of the coil spring, the diameter of the wire material varies continuously from a first value to a second value. From one end of the spring to the other, it is possible for the diameter to diminish steadily. The diameter can however also either increase or decrease from the middle of the coil sprng towards the two ends. Springs of this type make it possible with relatively minimal structural expenditure to provide torsional vibration dampers which have a progressive characteristic.

In a fly-wheel unit of any desired construction type including two separate fly-wheel members, the torsion springs are housed in a liquid receiving chamber which is at least partially filled with a lubricant or with a coolant. In this way inherent noises and excess wear can be damped and heat generation can be uniformly distributed.

Fly-wheel unit for an internal-combustion engine

A multi-disc clutch comprises a pressure plate, an intermediate plate and two clutch discs on both sides of the intermediate plate. A main spring urges the pressure plate towards a fly-wheel so that the clutch discs are in frictional engagement with the pressure plate, the intermediate plate and the fly-wheel. When the clutch disc is disengaged the pressure plate and the intermediate plate are lifted away from the fly-wheel. The lifting movement of the intermediate plate is effected by a release spring and is controlled by supporting the intermediate plate on a counter support which counter support is axially movable in response to the action of a clutch disengaging member. The counter support is established by a member which has an additional essential function within the clutch. For example, the counter support is established by the main spring or by a leaf spring connecting the pressure plate for common rotation with the clutch cover.

Multi-disc clutch unit, particularly for heavy-duty motor vehicles

A pressure plate unit for a pulled-type friction clutch comprises a presser plate which is connected with the diaphragm spring through retaining elements to ensure the disengagement action. The retaining elements extend substantially radially within a circle along which the pressure plate rests on the diaphragm spring. The retaining elements are secured non-rotatably in relation to the presser plate and the diaphragm spring. Different retaining elements are proposed. Distance bolts screwed into the presser plate with leaf spring elements can be used. Likewise U-shaped springs can be used which are hooked into radial openings of a bead of the presser plate. Furthermore the retaining elements can be secured on the diaphragm spring or an additional ring and locked with the pressure plate by means of a circumferential groove of the bead.

Pressure plate unit for a friction clutch

A clutch disk for a motor vehicle clutch comprises a clutch lining carrier with a cover plate facing a first side face of the hub disk. In view of frictional damping of angular movement of the clutch lining carrier with respect to a hub carrying the hub disk a pressure plate is provided axially between the cover plate and the first side face of the hub disk. A friction ring is provided axially between the pressure plate and the side face. Leaf springs are provided axially between the cover plate and the pressure plate. These leaf springs generate an axial pressure between the pressure plate and the side face and connect the pressure plate for common angular movement with the cover plate.

Clutch disk unit for a motor vehicle clutch

The invention relates to a clutch disc with vibration damper, in which a driven plate carrying the friction linings is arranged between two cover plates firmly connected with the hub. Friction rings are arranged between the driven plate and the cover plates. The axial force generation for the achievement of a friction force is effected through externally situated leaf springs which extend radially between individual helical springs. The leaf springs are riveted fast at their radially inner ends with the hub and with their outer ends they press through distance pieces upon a presser plate which is situated between the one cover plate and the one of the friction rings. The presser plate is arranged fast in rotation but axially displaceably in relation to the pertinent cover plate. Tabs bent off axially on the external circumference of the presser plate here engage in corresponding recesses of the cover plate. Especially with regard to heavy working in freight vehicle clutches thus the presser plate is loaded only with the transmission of the friction force, and in combination with the preferably three axially protruding tabs the production of the presser plate is simple, likewise uniform distribution of the torque to all three tabs is guaranteed. Thus at this point too, the wear is reduced to a minimum.
