A mobile workstation comprises a wheeled base, a height-adjustable post assembly fixedly coupled to the rear end of the wheeled base, and a tray assembly fixedly coupled to the top of the post assembly. The post assembly has a four-post construction, with upper and lower vertical posts pivotally connected to a pair of linking posts. To accommodate different users, the post assembly is designed to articulate between an upper position and a lower position through a primarily vertical travel path. The four-post construction of the post assembly disperses the weight of the tray assembly, thereby reducing the manual force required to implement height adjustment. The planar, primarily vertical, travel path undertaken by the post assembly during height adjustment maintains the workstation center of gravity to a centralized location in the base, thereby minimizing the use of counterbalances to ensure stability. As a result, the workstation is lightweight and easily maneuverable.

A multi-wheeled base for a mobile cart includes one or more swiveling, optionally locking, caster wheels and one or more non-swiveling traction wheels to improve the maneuverability of the cart by making it easier to steer and stop. The traction wheels may be manually-engaged traction wheels, which may be operated by a cam and lever. The traction wheels may also be automatically-engaged traction wheels operated by a motor and a threaded shaft, and activated by a motion-sensitive sensor or by an on/off electrical switch or button. The traction wheels are preferably in contact with the floor when the mobile cart is moving, and raised above the surface of the floor when the cart is stationary.

A mobile flat panel monitor and computer cart. The cart has a wheeled base, a support structure coupled to and extending above the base, a shelf coupled to the support structure above the base for supporting a computer, and a bracket coupled to the support structure above the shelf and that is adapted to have mounted to it a flat-panel monitor.

A laptop computer stand, for holding a laptop computer having a keyboard portion and a display portion that is pivotable relative to the keyboard portion. The stand has a base adapted to either sit on a surface or be coupled to a structure, and a support member coupled to the base, wherein the laptop keyboard portion sits on the support member. The support member has a retaining structure that overlies at least part of the laptop keyboard portion, to retain the keyboard portion on the support member. The stand also has a locking mechanism coupled to the base or the support member, and selectively fixable to the laptop computer.

A pivoting keyboard and mouse tray for attachment to a support structure such as a mobile computer cart. The device includes a keyboard tray adapted to hold a keyboard, a mechanical structure for coupling the keyboard tray to the support structure, one or more hinges between the keyboard tray and the mechanical structure to allow the keyboard tray to be pivoted relative to the support structure and maintain the keyboard tray in the pivoted position, and one or more mouse trays integral with or coupled to the keyboard tray.

The workstation includes a base section, an intermediate section having an upwardly-extending lower support structure, an upper support structure, and a pair of parallel side links connected there between, to accomplish a double-crank parallelogram four-bar linkage, with the upper support structure defining the coupler of the linkage. The workstation also has an upper working section supported by the intermediate section and having at least a first essentially horizontal shelf, to provide an adjustable-height workspace.

An apparatus for supporting a tray on a chair having two arms. The apparatus includes a first support member coupled to a first arm of the chair, the first support member defining a top surface and being adapted to be slid from a use position in which the top surface is substantially accessible to support the tray, to a stowed position in which the top surface is not substantially accessible to support the tray, and a second support member coupled to a second arm of the chair, the second support member defining a top surface and being adapted to be slid from a use position in which the top surface is substantially accessible to support the tray, to a stowed position in which the top surface is not substantially accessible to support the tray. A tray adapted to sit on and span the distance between the two extended support members may also be included.

A cradle for supporting and retaining a tablet computer having four sides, a front, and a back. The cradle has a base, projecting arms coupled to the base and located along three of the four sides of the tablet computer when the back of the computer is on the base, and one or more moveable arms that are selectively engagable along the fourth side of the tablet computer when the back of the computer is on the base, to selectively retain the tablet computer in the cradle.
