A bar and wire rolling mill includes a cooling bed line for bars, a rotary basket reeling line for bars coiled into coils, and a wire line with a looper and winding collector for wire, and a holding furnace arranged downstream for thermal aftertreatments of the rolled material leaving the rolling mill. The cooling line, the rotary basket reeling line and the wire line are connected to a common holding furnace through transport devices.

Bar and wire rolling mill

A continuous light-section or wire train includes finishing and sizing mill units arranged following the intermediate rolling section of the train, cooling sections and temperature equalization sections arranged in front of, between and following the finishing and sizing mill units, and rolling stock collecting devices arranged following the cooling sections and temperature equalization sections. The finishing mill unit includes two independent finishing mill units, wherein one finishing mill unit is arranged in a first rolling line which branches off from a second rolling line through a distributing guide arranged following the intermediate rolling section, followed by a temperature equalization section with cooling section extending past the finishing mill unit, another looper and another distributing guide following the looper leading into the second rolling line in front of the finishing mill unit, and wherein the other finishing mill unit is arranged together with a sizing mill unit in the second rolling line which extends parallel to the first rolling line.

Continuous light-section or wire train

A high-capacity wire rolling mill including a wire train and/or rod steel train for concrete reinforcing steel and simple carbon steels, further including a continuous casting plant or a continuous casting wheel for high production, a direct interconnection of the continuous casting plant or casting wheel to the rolling mill, a buffer furnace between the continuous casting plant or the casting wheel and the rolling mill for compensating production differences and smaller rolling mill interruptions, a compact roughing train and intermediate train I, a unit calibration for the train sections, looping by 180.degree. behind the intermediate train I, an intermediate train II for producing thick finished dimensions or preliminary cross-sections with the possibility of quick stand exchanges, a finishing train also with the possibility of quick stand exchanges, the arrangement of the finishing train extending parallel to the intermediate train II, a common water cooling stretch for and displaceable between the two parallel finishing lines, and a winding reel arrangement displaceable between the two finishing lines instead of a subsequently arranged equalizing stretch.

High-capacity wire rolling mill

In a light section rolling mill, particularly wire rolling mill, for optimizing the product quality and/or output of the finishing train, at least one standard two-stand roughing block or group is arranged in front of and/or following the finishing train. Standard two-stand roughing blocks can be combined into roughing block units having four stands, six stands, eight stands or ten stands, and these units can be arranged in front of and/or following the finishing train.

Light section rolling mill particularly wire rolling mill

A high-speed rod and wire mill, particularly for single-strand, twist-free rolling. The mill includes a roughing train, at least one intermediate train and a subsequent finishing train, wherein each of the trains includes several rolling mill stands or rolling units. A finishing stand set may follow the finishing train. For a minimized series of passes in each train section, the roughing train has a crane tool for exchanging the rolls, the intermediate train has a manipulator for exchanging the rolls and the finishing train has a quick-exchange device for changing the rolls and possibly an additional manipulator. All rolling mill stands or rolling units in the individual train sections have overhung-mounted and removable rolls, so that the yield of the mill is increased.

Cantilevered slit-strand rolling mill with roll changing device

Apparatus for coiling and cooling wire rod comprises a turn-laying head, a coil receiver below the head, movable downwards to maintain a constant distance between the head and the top of the coil, and a cooling tank which is vertically movable. In an upper position the cooling tank contains the coil receiver and coil, and in a lower position the cooling tank is lower than the coil receiver, so that the coil can be conveyed horizontally away from the coil receiver. A coil mandrel is mounted in the cooling tank. Two such devices can be provided side by side with a common drive arranged to raise one cooling tank while lowering the other.
