An arrangement for regulating the power output of resistive loads or electrical appliances, especially the cooking plates of electric ranges, which includes actuating elements for the switching on and preselection of power stages or steps for the load devices, relays for the supply of power, and incorporating an electronic control circuit for regulating the conductance of electrical power to the resistive loads.

Switch module arrangement for use with resistive-type loads

An electronic timepiece or clock with a digital display, and with an arrangement for the setting or adjustment of the minutes and/or hour display through either a short or lengthier depression of a timing push button. A single timing push button is provided on the timepiece for the forward and for the backward setting of the display. The single timing push button also serves for the rapid setting of the display. In this connection, the arrangement for the setting of the minutes and/or hour display provides for a distinction between a short depression of the timing push button (t&lt;t.sub.1) and a lengthier depression of the timing push button (t&gt;t.sub.1).

Time adjustment arrangement for digital displays

An electronic acoustic signal emitter which includes a piezo-ceramic plate on a metal membrane, and with a circuit board which supports the electronic components. A ring-shaped conductive path with a diameter which is generally as equally large as the metal membrane is arranged on the circuit board in addition to the conductive paths for the components and is electrically connected therewith, which serves as a conductive path and carrier for the metal membrane.

Electronic acoustic signal emitter

An electronic clock timer for a kitchen range; in which the timer includes a control circuit, a display area, with entry elements and with a switch arranged in the control circuit, through which the appliance or electrical consumer which is controlled by the timer through a power switch, can be switched over from manual operation to automatic operation upon the digital entry of at least one complete switching or operating cycle. The power switch and the electrical consumer are electrically connected in series with a selector switch arranged on the consumer for preselection of the power supply to the latter; and with a component being associated with the power switch, which detects the opened or closed condition of the switch in such a manner that a signal is transmitted from this component to a control switching circuit when, at an already opened power switch, there is also opened the selector switch and that as a result thereof there is effectuated in the control switching circuit a switchover from automatic to manual operation.

Electronic clock timer for a kitchen range

An electronic timer, preferably a kitchen range timer, which includes a control circuit, a display area, input elements, and a switching arrangement which selectively connects an appliance (auto mode) which is operable through the timer directly with a current supply (manual mode). The control circuit is switched into the auto mode through the input of at least one complete switching term, whereby after traversing of the switching terms in the control circuit, the latter is switched into a wait-mode, wherein the appliance which is already separated from the current supply, remains separated from the current supply, and wherein the control circuit which is connected in the wait-mode is switched back into the manual-mode upon the actuation of the manual input element which is provided for this purpose.

Electronic timer

A method and arrangement for entering a switching program into an electronic timer, in particular a kitchen range timer, wherein the switching program consists of at least one switching cycle within a predetermined time range, preferably within 23 hours and 59 minutes. The switching cycle is timely defined through any two of three entities consisting of switching cycle-start, switching cycle-period and switching cycle-end, wherein the entry is effected serially in the form of sequential input pulses, which have an information relative to the setting direction (forward or backwards) associated therewith, and which is preferably counted in a forward-backward counter arrangement. The entry of a first entity for the definition of the switching cycle is limited to a time interval between the actual time and the end of a pregiven first program range, in which upon the entry of the entity switching cycle-start or switching cycle-end there is set with the first input pulses the present entity to a starting value most closely to the present limit of the first program range but within the first program range, and wherein upon the entry of an input pulse with an associated setting direction which would set the value of the present entity outside of the first program range, causes this input pulse to be rendered ineffective or to selectively erase the present entity.

Method for entering a switching program into an electronic timer and

An electrical thermometer having a digital display comprises a flat, rectangular casing a principal face of which is provided with the digital indicating device, and a measuring probe which is connected with a voltage-fed electrical building block of an electronic analyzer and display unit. The thermometer is devised to be smaller and more compact than known devices and affords a safe operation even under disadvantageous environmental conditions. To this end, the voltage source of the electronic analyzer and display unit block is a solar cell arranged in a principal face of the casing. The presence of this solar cell affords a particularly advantageous permanent guarantee of the energy supply. Moreover, it offers the advantage of a construction of the thermometer casing which is free from the need for a receptacle opening for a battery and can thus be manufactured water-tight in a simple manner.

Electrical pocket thermometer with digital display

A power line-operated electronic time-clock including a clock switching circuit, a memory for storage of switching or alarm times, including an input device and a display device, and a power outage-bridging circuit for supplying electrical energy during a power outage to at least the timing components of the clock switching circuit and when required, to the memory storage device. The time-clock includes a monitoring circuit that is interconnected to the memory storage device, and the power outage-bridging circuit for generating a blocking signal in response to the absence of timing data being introduced into the memory device for rendering the power outage-bridging circuit inoperative. Thus, the energy storage device within the power outage circuit will not be drained prior to use or during testing of the clocks. In addition, the monitoring circuit may generate the blocking signal subsequent to a predetermined time interval after a power outage to disconnect the time clocks to prevent drainage of the energy storage device over an extended power shut down.

Power line-operated electronic time-clock

An indexing plate for a time switch including slide contacts at the circumference of the indexing plate which are radially displaceable from an inoperative position to latch into at least one switching position, which incorporate an actuating projection and a switching finger opposite thereto, and which are conducted between the projection and the finger through slots in the indexing plate. The switching fingers are spaced from each other at the circumference of the indexing plate and evidence a rim area and a switching edge, in whose path of movement there is located a switching element of a switch contact in the actuated or switching position. Guide walls are formed on the indexing plate for each switching finger, in that rim edges are provided on the guide wall which, in the inoperative position of every switching finger align essentially planar with the switch edges thereof, and that in the switched-on position of every switching finger, the switch edge thereof will radially overhang the rim edges, and of which the rim region is located intermediate the guide walls. Inasmuch as the switch element radially contacts the switch edge, the lift of the slide contacts can be small from their inoperative position into a switching position.

Indexing plate for a time switch

A driving or operating arrangement for an electro-mechanical chronometer, including an analog display having at least one indicator element, preferably for a microchronometer and/or microswitch, wherein the indicator element is driven at a rotational speed which is dependent upon the display position. An electro-mechanical transducer forming a drive element is actuated with at least one of the two pulse frequencies, through the intermediary of a switching device controlled in dependence upon the indicator positions, dependent upon the position of the analog display.

Operating arrangement for an electro-mechanical chronometer

A process and circuit for the setting of an electronic digital display for a desired time period, particularly the cooking time of a microwave oven. The setting is effected through a series of stepping pulses controlling the registers of counter-display units for a time period which is subdivided into predetermined time units.

A portable power supply includes a rechargeable battery in a casing. Power is supplied from the battery to a socket by means of a D.C./A.C. voltage converter and a step-up transformer. When the socket is connected to an external source of power, the battery is charged by means of an additional winding in the transformer and a rectifier.

A process and an arrangement for the electronic interruption and the cancellations of the interruption of input pulses of a manually rotatable pulse generator in an electronic storage for the purpose of locking the storage condition, including a pulse generator, a first and a second counter, a comparator which is influenced by the two counters, as well as an input key. At the coincidence of the two counter contents, the pulse flow from one impulse-generating element should be so interrupted that the content will be unchanged and also remain constant even when further counting pulses are generated by the input arrangement.

Process and arrangement for the electronic control of the input pulses

A digital clock device includes data storage units and produces switching signals in response to the data stored in accordance with predetermined functions, such as time of day and lapse of time. Switching signals responsive to quantities not related to time can also be produced. Data being stored is displayed as it is being entered into the device. In a disclosed embodiment, the device is used for the control of an electric range. Start of cooking time and duration of cooking for the oven and the individual heating plates can be controlled. Programmed control of oven temperature is also possible.

Electronic digital time display apparatus

In an electronic digital display control device, a pulse generator is actuated to produce pulses which are fed into a counter to control the setting on the display. A discriminator detects whether the frequency of the pulses exceeds a predetermined frequency limit. If the limit is exceeded, the discriminator connects to the counter a second pulse generator which provides pulses at a freqency higher than the predetermined frequency limit. By so doing, the counter receives a substantially greater number of control pulses per unit of time and sets the digital display very rapidly.
