A cable which has at least two strands which each have a conductor surrounded by an insulation, where the strands are surrounded by an inner casing composed of a first polymer mixture and by an outer casing of a second polymer mixture resting on the inner casing, where the polymer components of the first and second polymer mixtures include a thermoplastic elastomer, and where the inner casing is foamed.

Electrical cable with easily removable casing

An abrasion-resistant jacket for a flexible cable with a cable core and a jacket made of an abrasion-resistant thermoplastic material surrounding the cable core, particularly for a drag chain cable or a robot cable. The jacket includes an inner extruded plastic layer () and an outer jacket layer (). Between the inner plastic layer () and the outer jacket layer () is a layer () of monofilaments made of a chemically and thermally stable material with a visual coverage of 40 to 70%. The outer jacket layer () is applied by pressure extrusion, such that the spaces in the layer () are almost filled by the material of the outer jacket layer, and the layer () adheres to the inner sheath layer ().

Abrasion-resistant jacket

A cable with at least one transmission element (A), which is surrounded by a sheath (M) of insulation material. To simplify stripping of the insulation, the sheath (M) is composed of an inner layer () and an outer layer (), which are firmly bonded together. The values for tensile strength and elongation at break of the inner layer () are designed to be clearly lower than those of the outer layer ().

Cable with at least one transmission element

A flame resistant, halogen-free polymer mixture is described, particularly for the sheath of cables and conductors, comprising polyurethane, fillers and additives, wherein 1 to 10 parts of polysiloxane, which contains functional methacrylate and/or epoxy groups, are added to 100 parts of the flame resistant halogen-free polyurethane.

Flame resistant halogen-free polymer mixture

A cable wherein the sheathing contains at least two polymers, the adhesion capability of which is low when extruded in layers on to each other, and the sheathing has at least two adjacent layers, with the polymeric material of one layer being exclusively or predominantly the first polymer and the second layer including a mixture of both polymers.
