An epoxy resin adhesive, sealing or coating composition containing as a curing agent an addition product of A) at least one member of the group consisting of primary amines and secondary amines and B) at least one ester having a formula selected from the group consisting of ##STR1## wherein m is 0 or 1, n is an integer from 3 to 25, 0 is an integer from 1 to 20, p is an integer from 1 to 10, R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of furyl, phenyl and hydrogen, R.sub.2 is hydrogen or methyl R.sub.3 is ##STR2## R.sub.5 is methylene or --CH.sub.2 --CH--CH.sub.2 --R.sub.6 --CH.sub.2 --. R.sub.6 is selected from the group consisting of ##STR3## R.sub.7 is selected from the group consisting of methylene, ##STR4## and R.sub.8 and R.sub.9 are individually ethylene or propylene.

Amine-unsaturated epoxidized polysulfide addition products

A hardening agent for epoxy compounds prepared by reacting A) at least one member of the group consisting of polyalkyleneetherdiols and polyalkyleneetherpolyols with B) at least one polyisocyanate with a molar ratio of hydroxy groups to isocyanate group of 1:1.8 to 3, reacting the resulting product with C) an amine having at least one free primary or secondary amino group and at least one protected primary amino group with a molar ratio of isocyanate to amino groups of 1:1 to 2 and subjecting the latter product to hydrolysis useful for preparation of flexible hardened products with excellent mechanical properties.

Epoxy hardening agents

A hardening agent for epoxy prepared by reacting A) a hydroxy containing ketimino compound with B) a diisocyanate compound with one isocyanate group blocked, reacting the resulting adduct with C) a polyether amine and hydrolysis of the reaction product, reactants A), B) and C) being in approximately stoichiometric amounts resulting in flexible hardened products of good resistance to chemicals and aging.

Novel hardening agents

Novel hardening agents for epoxy compounds which are produced by reaction of polyalkylene, polyether amines having a mean molecular weight of 148 to 5,000 with di and/or polyepoxy compounds to a preliminary product, the ratio of the hydrogen atoms possibly remaining after reaction with monoepoxy compounds and bound to nitrogen and which are capable of reaction with epoxide groups, to epoxide groups of diepoxy compounds or polyepoxy compounds in the range of 1:1.4 to 6, and reaction of this preliminary product with a primary or secondary amine, the employed amine or amine mixture being used in an amount such that the ratio of epoxide groups capable of reaction to hydrogen atoms attached to nitrogen is 1:2 to 10.
