A device for use in vehicles with electric or hybrid drive for monitoring the air conditioning of a vehicle based on health and energy consumption readings. The device monitors the operation of the air conditioning to determine when differentials between outside and inside temperature are excessive, and/or inside atmospheric humidity is too low and/or air quality is poor. An occurrence of any of these conditions results in the system suggesting to the driver that he should interrupt travel to the desired destination. In addition, if necessary, the device performs a vehicle range estimate as a function of the selected air conditioning operation.

Vehicle air conditioning monitoring device

A filter holder assembly is provided for the optional holding in a motor vehicle at a dust filter alone or a dust filter and an absorption filter which is optionally arranged directly downstream of the dust filter. A frame lower part is provided which either holds the dust filter or the absorption filter. When the frame lower part holds the absorption filter, a frame upper part which holds the dust filter is releasably arranged upstream of the frame lower filter.

Filter holder in a motor vehicle

A motor vehicle heating/air-conditioning system of a motor vehicle has a water-removal device arranged in the fresh-air inlet duct, rising from the duct base and comprising a coarse-mesh lattice and a fine-mesh lattice resting against the latter. The water removed is carried away downwardly on the webs of the coarse-mesh lattice to the duct base which forms a water collection point with water drainage. In order to combine a favorable water-removal function with a good air-guidance function, the coarse-mesh lattice facing the incident air represents an air guide with predetermined throughflow and is pleated in a corrugated shape. A channel spanned by the fine-mesh lattice arranged in at least some areas is in each case formed between two upwardly-directed corrugation troughs. The water-removal device is placed in the region of a duct widening provided by a set-back wall portion, such that the water-removal device ends at a distance from the set-back wall portion.

Motor vehicle heating/air conditioning system

Air-permeable and water-permeable baffles in the form of a fine-meshed grill are mounted in front of the upwardly projecting side walls in a motor vehicle fresh-air intake duct in order to improve separation with an inlet grill retaining any coarse impurities and with at least one drainage aperture, located in the area of the lowest point of the fresh-air intake duct, for liquid separated out from the air current. The liquid making its way through the meshes of the grills flows, in the flow vacuum between baffle and side wall at the back of the baffle, downwards to the duct bottom and the drainage aperture.
