Roof bolt drilling and setting apparatus

A method of controlling interlinked vehicles in mining and tunnelling operations with at least one of the vehicles having a travelling mechanism is disclosed. Distance measurements to adjacent wall surfaces which define a path of movement are taken on opposite sides of the vehicles, and on each side at least two ultrasonic sensors are arranged to be offset in the direction of movement in determining the distances. Signalling lines of the sensors are fed to an evaluation and control circuit via vehicle couplings. The control circuit is formed by an autoadaptive learning microcomputer.

In a gearbox (1) with coaxial drive shaft (2) and driven shaft (3), wherein a clutch sleeve (5) which can be displaced in the axial direction (4) of these shafts (2,3) can be moved from a coupling position in which the drive shaft (2) and driven shaft (3) are directly connected into a position in which the shafts (2,3) are connected at least by one gear stage (16,17), the clutch sleeve (5) is constructed with at least one internal gear (7) and at least one external gear (9, 14) wherein in the directly coupled position of the shafts (2,3) these are connected with each other by means of an internal gear (7) and an external gear (9) of the clutch sleeve (5). With a gearbox (1) of this type with extremely short construction and at extremely low mounting expenses high torques can be securely transmitted and one can simply switch over from a first switching stage to a second switching stage.

The bit holder (1) is nonpositively connected to a bit bushing (3) with adherence to a pressure per unit of surface area of &gt;100N/mm.sup.2 between the conical outer surface of the bit bushing (3) and the inner wall of the receiving bore (2) of the bit holder (1). After the bushing has been driven into the receiving bore (2), the conical outer surface of the bit bushing (3), formed by rectilinear generatrices, protrudes beyond the bore (2) by an excess amount (a).

For inserting anchor bolts in the region of the tunnel side wall up to near to the face, in addition to anchor bolt drilling and setting devices for the roof in the front region of the road-driving machine additional anchor bolt and setting devices are mounted displaceably guided in a vertical direction. The additional anchor bolt drilling and setting devices are swivellable around an axis which is parallel to the running surface plane of the drive mechanism of the road-driving machine.

A cutter machine has cutter heads or rollers rotatably mounted on a pivoting cutter arm. It also has a loading ramp and a conveyor running in a direction towards the work face of the cutter machine to take up and convey away cut material. The cutter arm is mounted on a sliding carriage which is displaceable along guides running in the longitudinal direction of the machine. The carriage is configured as a self-supporting box profile in a clear cross-section space of which a removal conveyor is mounted so that it may slide. For this reason, the cutter machine is particularly well-suited for use in small seam heights and for particularly low constructional design. It may nonetheless be used satisfactorily for operating reliably over a variable tunnel width.

In a loading device with a loading platform for receiving mined material, wherein the loading platform is swept over by loading arms and the material is conveyed onto a conveying device connected to the loading platform, the loading arms are designed as arms of a rotatably mounted loading star-wheel, and a plurality of loading star-wheels are arranged over the width of the loading platform.

A roof support for the ceilings of excavated spaces underground and particularly for supporting caving edges for pillar recovery in coal mines is described. The roof support has a roof bar connected to a base frame by hydraulically extendable props and by a lemniscate mechanism. The props are articulated to the base frame and to the roof bar. A link of the lemniscate mechanism has a predetermined bending point. Since this link fails when overloaded before the remainder of the apparatus, it is the only element that need be replaced when the apparatus is overloaded. Thus, the device may be economically repaired.

A drive arrangement for shearing drums. Final gear reduction stages are arranged inside the shearing drum (5) and at least one reduction stage is designed as a planetary gear mechanism. The first gear reduction stage arranged inside the shearing drum (5) has intermediate gear wheels (21) rotatably fixed to a rigid intermediate gear wheel carrier (22) connected to a supporting arm (3) of the shearing drum (5). The intermediate gear wheels (21) are driven by a sun gear wheel (20) and interact with an outer internal gear wheel (25). Internal gear wheel (25) is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a second sun gear wheel (26) of a downstream planetary gear mechanism, the output side (30) of which is connected to the shearing drum.

Drive arrangement for shearing drums

A device for feeding cooling fluid into the inside of a shearing drum. The rotary drive of the shearing drum has at least one gear reduction mechanism contained within the hollow shearing drum. Fluid lines are led into the axial region of the shearing drum via a component which is stationary and rigidly connected to the carrier of the shearing drum. The gear reduction mechanism is arranged concentric with the axis and at least one of the fluid lines is led to at least one lateral end face where the fluid line supplies a fluid distributor which in turn distributes the fluid to various jets and fluid lines.

Device for feeding fluid for the spraying of picks in a shearing drum

A shearing machine with shearing heads or drums rotatably mounted on a luffable shearing arm and a loading ramp or a conveyor running in the direction of the heading face for receiving and conveying away the sheared material. The loading ramp or the conveyor is supported displaceably in the longitudinal direction of the shearing machine on the machine frame and the horizontal luffing axis of the shearing arm runs transversely to the longitudinal direction of the machine and is mounted adjustably relative to the machine frame in the longitudinal direction of the machine. The adjustment movement of the horizontal luffing axis of the shearing arm is coupled to the adjusting movement of the loading ramp or of the conveyor. The shearing arm is mounted on a bearing bracket which is connected to a carriage. The carriage is displaceable on guides running in the longitudinal direction of the machine and the bearing bracket is connected to a driver which is formed by a slot guide. After a predetermined displacement distance of the bearing bracket in the longitudinal direction of the machine, the bearing braket interacts with the conveyor.

A shearing machine with roof-bolt drilling and setting devices which are jointedly connected to the shearing machine and can be hydraulically braced between roof and floor of the roadway. A multiplicity of roof-bolt drilling and setting devices are connected to a common supporting frame, the supporting frame being connected to the shearing machine via guide bars running in the longitudinal direction of the machine.

In a chain conveyor (6) for loading devices and/or conveying devices, in which engaging pieces (10) are swivelably linked to a chain (9), noting that the engaging pieces (10) are linked to the chains approximately at their longitudinal center and the chain (9) moves along a path closed in itself, the engaging pieces (10) are at their arms (14) facing the inner side of the orbital path of the chain (9) articulatedly linked to a respective guide rod (15), said guide rod (15) being articulatedly linked with the chain (9) for lagging in direction of movement of the chains. In this case, the chain (9) is preferably guided within a recess or groove (18) of the sliding surface of the engaging pieces (10), said recess or groove corresponding to the orbital path.

A device for guying a drift advancing machine within a drift has props which can be guyed between the drift roof and the drift floor and having articulated caps, connected to it. There are arranged at both sides of the longitudinal center plane of the machine at least one hydraulic cylinder-piston-aggregate between a supporting block fixed on the machine frame and the drift floor as well as between the supporting block and the drift roof in a guyable manner. The cylinder-piston-aggregates are articulatedly connected to floor supporting plates adapted to be pressed against the floor and to roof caps and are articulatedly connected to the supporting block, and the floor supporting plates and the roof caps are connected with the machine frame (1) via thrust supports.
