A method and a device are set forth which make it possible to set an accuracy in a voice recognition process. To this end, system parameters of the voice recognition system are determined using an input quantity via a mapping specification, and the voice recognition system is set corresponding to the obtained values. Optionally, a voice recognition system can be adapted during operation, in order to guarantee an application-specific adaptation in a range between maximal quality in the voice recognition and optimally high speed in the execution of the voice recognition. The computer can also be set automatically in that a performance index of the computer has been determined in advance using a program provided for this purpose, which index represents a measure for the input quantity and thus guarantees an adequate operation of the voice recognition system on this computer.

Method and device for voice recognition

The invention expands a feature extraction unit of a type known in the art with an adaptive channel compensation. The filter coefficients for a high-pass filter for eliminating the chronologically sliding average are set time-dependently with the adaptive channel compensation. As a result, a faster channel adaptation, and a better error compensation in the speech feature extraction are achieved, leading to a more reliable speech recognition. The parameters for the individual function blocks of the feature extraction unit are determined and stored in advance for specific speech transmission channels such as in mobile radio telephone, ISDN and analog speech transmission. The speech recognition with the assistance of the feature extraction unit can subsequently then ensue in channel-associated fashion with the stored parameters values.

Feature extraction method for a speech signal

A circuit in which an n-channel MOS transistor is employed between load and the positive pole of an operating voltage source has the following drive circuit: parallel to the switching transistor and the load there is connected an RC-network. Both capacitors have a common junction at gate potential and are voltage limited. The gate is connected to the output of the inverter which can be switched between the source potential U.sub.S1 and U.sub.S1 +U.sub.C1. A diode path is connected in parallel with C1 and in parallel with C2 there is an oscillator having a push-pull output which is connected through a capacitor between D3 and D4. Such a drive requires no external auxiliary voltage, allows for static and dynamic circuit drive as well as randomly high drive voltages and permits integration with well known techniques. Principal application area: Network circuit components, actuator setting, motor controls, switching of loads in control technology and in motor vehicles.

Electronic sensor on/off switch for a load connected to an a-c supply network, including a controlled semiconductor switch connected in a series circuit with the load, a sensor for switching the load on and off, a control circuit connected from the sensor to the switch, the switch being addressable by the control circuit in a conducting state with the load switched on by a signal holding the switch in the conducting state at the zero crossing of a current passing through the load, and in a non-conducting state with the load disconnected by signal switching the switch into the conducting state for switching on the load at the zero crossing of an output a-c voltage at the switch, a power supply circuit connected to the control circuit, a current transformer having a primary and a secondary winding and being operable in saturation, the current transformer being connected in series with the switch, the control circuit including a first rectifier being coupled to the secondary winding and having an output producing a supply voltage with the switch in the conducting state relative to a reference potential equal to a reference potential point of the output a-c voltage, and a branch of the series circuit including the primary winding, the switch, a storage capacitor chargeable by the output a-c voltage and a second rectifier producing the supply voltage in the non-conducting state.

Electronic sensor on/off switch for a load connected to an a-c supply network includes a controlled semiconductor switch connected in series with the load, a sensor for switching the load on and off, a control circuit connected from the sensor to the switch, the switch being addressable by the control circuit in a conducting state with the load switched on by a signal holding the switch in the conducting state at the zero crossing of a current passing through the load, and in a non-conducting state with the load disconnected by a signal switching the switch into the conducting state for switching on the load at the zero crossing of an output a-c voltage at the switch, a power supply circuit connected to the control circuit, a two-terminal voltage limiting network connected in a series circuit with the switch for generating an amplitude-limited a-c voltage if the switch is conducting, an inductive converter connected to the two-terminal voltage limiting network, a terminal producing a reference potential point connected to the two-terminal voltage limiting network, a storage capacitor connected to the inductive converter for producing a supply voltage for the control circuit relative to the reference potential point, a branch connected to the series circuit of the two-terminal voltage limiting network and the switch including the storage capacitor and a rectifier, and another terminal connected between the storage capacitor and the rectifier for producing the supply voltage in the non-conducting state of the switch, the storage capacitor being charged by the output a-c voltage when the switch is in the non-conducting state.

An ignition circuit is provided for extinguishing tubes in electronic flash equipment for photography. The second winding of an ignition transformer is arranged in series to the extinguishing tube. A diode is connected in parallel to the secondary winding of the ignition transformer through which the extinguishing tube current flows after ignition. The extinguishing tube does not require an ignition electrode. The ignition circuit is advantageously employed in electronic flash equipment for photography having an automatic circuitry for control of flash luminance time.

A blocking converter is provided having a switching transistor controlled via a triggered monoflop with a defined on-time RC circuit which insures that the same electric energy quantity is always stored in a transformer driven by the switching transistor. The electrical energy is reversed to charge the charge capacitor during a blocking phase of the switching transistor. As soon as the reverse charge process is completed, the monoflop is retriggered. The blocking converter is preferably used in battery-operated electronic flash equipment for photography.
