A coolant compressor (), comprising a piston-cylinder unit () that compresses a coolant, said piston-cylinder unit comprising a cylinder housing () and a piston () held in a piston bore () of the cylinder housing (), wherein the cylinder housing () is sealed in an axial direction by a valve plate () and a cylinder cover (). In order to facilitate the simple and flexible mounting of the valve plate () at the cylinder housing (), it is provided according to the invention that the valve plate () is countersunk in its operating position in the piston bore () of the cylinder housing () and is fastened in the piston bore () of the cylinder housing () by way of a material bond connection, so that an end stop provided especially for the valve plate () in the cylinder housing () can be omitted.

Coolant compressor

Refrigerant compressor for a hermetically encapsulated small refrigerator, which has a piston () guided in a piston bore () of a cylinder housing (), the cylinder housing being frontally terminated using a valve plate () having a pressure opening () and a suction opening () and also being frontally provided with holes (), which each have a thread. In order to adapt refrigerant piston compressors having screwed-on cylinder head in such a manner that an energy-efficient redesign of the structure cylinder cover-valve plate-cylinder housing is possible, the changes on the structure required for this purpose simultaneously being minimized, it is provided that a first clamping element (), which is screwed into the holes (), is provided, which contacts the valve plate () and presses it against the cylinder housing () in the area of at least a section of the piston bore wall () and has a pre-tension in the direction of the valve plate () in the screwed-on state, the clamping element () having a clamping section (), which is located above the piston bore wall () in the installed position and has the shape of an imaginary projection of the piston bore wall () on the first clamping element ().

Refrigerant compressor

A refrigerant compressor has a hermetically tight compressor housing inside of which a piston-cylinder unit operates. A suction muffler through which refrigerant flows to the intake valve of the piston-cylinder unit is provided on the cylinder head. The inlet of the suction muffler has a cross section via which refrigerant flows into the suction muffler. A compensating volume is provided inside of which refrigerant oscillates and which is connected to the suction muffler and the interior of the compressor housing. The cross section of the inlet also acts as the connecting port between the compensating volume and the filling volume. The compensating volume is formed by an outer tube directed into the compressor housing, which tightly surrounds the intake port of the inlet while surrounding the section of the refrigerant suction pipe that is connected to the evaporator of the compressor and extends into the interior of the compressor housing.
