An insulation piercing connector () is held inside a base body (), and a closing element () is guided inside said base body. The closing element can be transferred into a closed position at least from one open position, in which a conductor () can be inserted into the closing element (). By transferring the closing element () into the closed position, the conductor () can be inserted into the insulation piercing connector () and can be held and clamped therein. An over spring () is arranged on the closing element (). Said over spring surrounds the insulation piercing connector () and contacts the same via contact pieces () whereby exerting a pressure force (F) onto the insulation piercing connector ().

Insulation piercing connecting device

An insulation displacement connector device includes a base body, with a cutting clamp mounted on the base body and a closing element which may be displaced relative to the base body. The base body including an operating volume into which an operating tool may be introduced. The operating tool may be pivoted in a pivoting direction within the operating volume. The closing element may thus be moved between an open and a closed position. The closing element defines the operating volume on one side viewed from the pivoting direction.

Insulation displacement connector device with displaceable closing element

The invention relates to an electrical unit comprising a mounting device for fastening the unit to a supporting element, e.g. to a mounting rail, and at least one insulation piercing connecting device provided with an insulation piercing element and with a holding element. The insulation piercing element and holding element can move in relation to one another. When the unit is fastened to the supporting element, a conductor can be inserted into the holding element. This enables aid conductor to be looped through the holding element. The conductor can be clamped by transferring the insulation piercing element and holding element into a closed position.
