A gasification reactor comprises a pressure shell; a reaction zone partly bounded by a tubular membrane wall enclosed by the pressure shell; at least one burner having a burner head, said burner head protruding the membrane wall; at least one cooling device arranged in the membrane wall and enclosing the burner head of at least one burner, the at least one cooling device comprising several concentric rings of increasing diameter, forming a truncated cone shape having a largest diameter opening facing the reaction zone and a smallest diameter opening facing the burner head, each ring being a conduit having an inlet and an outlet for a cooling medium, the smallest diameter opening for the burner head being located between the pressure shell and the membrane wall; the cooling device comprising at least one part-circular outer ring having an interruption.

Cooling device for a burner of a gasification reactor

The invention relates to a heat exchange device comprising a channel wall defining a flow channel with an inlet for receiving a gas flow. The device further comprises one or more heat exchange surfaces positioned inside the flow channel creating different parallel flow paths for the gas flow through the flow channel, at least one of the heat exchange surfaces embedding one or more flow paths for a fluid heat exchange medium. The one or more deflection elements are positioned inside the flow channel and are attached to the channel wall to deflect the gas flow away from the channel wall.

Heat exchange device for cooling synthetic gas and method of assembly thereof

A gasification reactor with a heat exchange unit having a gas flow channel and one or more heat exchangers arranged within the gas flow channel, the heat exchangers having one or more heat exchange surfaces and one or more associated structures, such as a support structure or deflector plates. The associated structures are provided with fouling protection devices, such as blasters or flow guiding surfaces.

A rapper device for cleaning a heat exchange surface in a pressure vessel by transmitting impact energy. The rapper device includes a striker and an impacting device for impacting the striker which has one end contacting the heat exchange surface in the pressure vessel. The striker includes a piston section having a piston rod projecting out of the pressure vessel via a passage opening in line with the impacting device. A piston head is slideable within a piston chamber in line with the passage opening. The piston chamber is operatively connected to a sealing gas supply. The piston head is a separate part with an aperture. The piston rod runs through the aperture, e.g., in a slideable arrangement.

Rapper device

A method and a rapper device for cleaning a heat exchange surface in a pressure vessel. The rapper device includes a striker rod which has one end contacting the heat exchange surface in the pressure vessel and one end projecting out of the pressure vessel via a passage opening. The rapper device also includes an impacting device for impacting the projecting end of the striker rod. A section of the striker rod is slideably supported in a pressure chamber adjacent the passage opening. The pressure chamber is connected to a sealing gas supply maintaining the pressure in the pressure chamber at a higher level than the pressure in the pressure vessel. A bellows defines a pressure chamber around at least a section of the striker rod.
