A LIDAR sensor including an optical transmitting unit configured to emit a scanning beam in the direction of an optical axis of the optical transmitting unit, an optical receiving unit configured to receive the reflected scanning beam after the scanning beam has been reflected in the surroundings, a deflection optical system including a first mirror surface and a second mirror surface, the optical axis of the optical transmitting unit being directed onto the first mirror surface, and the optical axis of the optical receiving unit being directed onto the second mirror surface, the optical transmitting unit and the optical receiving unit being situated in an optical path of the LIDAR sensor on a shared first side of the deflection optical system, and a scanning unit situated in the optical path of the LIDAR sensor on a second side of the deflection optical system and configured to guide the scanning beam.

LIDAR sensor

A LIDAR system including a light source for emitting a light pulse along an optical axis, a deflection device to deflect in an oscillating manner the light pulse along the optical axis in first and second spatial directions so that the light pulse along the optical axis repeatedly runs through a two-dimensional scan pattern, and a control unit for activating and deactivating the light source. The oscillating deflection in the first spatial direction is achieved by repeated first partial movements and second partial movements. The oscillating deflection in the second spatial direction is achieved by repeated third partial movements and fourth partial movements. The control unit activates the light source to emit a light pulse at predefined locations of the scan pattern, and activates the light source to emit a light pulse at different pixels during the first partial movements and/or third partial movements than during the second partial movements and/or fourth partial movements.

Lidar system

An endpoint or other communication device of a communication system includes a clock recovery module. The communication device is operative as a slave device relative to another communication device that is operative as a master device. The clock recovery module comprises a clock recovery loop configured to control a slave clock frequency of the slave device so as to synchronize the slave clock frequency with a master clock frequency of the master device. The clock recovery loop utilizes a frequency error estimator implemented as a maximum-likelihood estimator with slope fitting based on a sequence of arrival timestamps, and a loop filter implemented as a series combination of an adaptive-bandwidth filter and a proportional-integral controller. The clock recovery module may further comprise a discontinuity detector configured to detect a discontinuity in delays of respective timing messages, and a loop controller operative to place the clock recovery loop in a particular state responsive to detection of the discontinuity.

Method, apparatus and system for frequency synchronization between devices communicating over a packet network

An apparatus (D) is dedicated to processing E1 data frames in communications network equipment (ETPL) including at least one E1 line interface unit (LIU). The apparatus (D) includes a processor adapted, on receiving from at least one E1 interface unit (LIU) at least one E1-type frame addressed to a given E1 destination port, to encapsulate that E1-type frame in a payload data field of an Ethernet frame in order to send it to an Ethernet destination port providing access to the given E1 destination port.

A method for generating an internal clock in a radio network controller and a relevant transmission processing board. The transmission processing board comprises; a clock signal selector for extracting a clock signal from a synchronous/asynchronous line connected with a core network when said transmission processing board functions as a master transmission processing board, or for obtaining a clock signal from a clock bus of a sub-rack in which said transmission processing board is located when said transmission processing board functions as a slave transmission processing board; a phase-locked loop for generating a reference transmission clock based on the clock signal extracted or obtained by said clock signal selector; and a clock driver for transmitting the generated reference transmission clock to the clock bus of the sub-rackin which said transmission processing board is located when said transmission processing board functions as a master transmission processing board.

In a cabinet (1) for telecommunications engineering, with a frame rack containing at least one module carrier (2) designed to receive plug-in units, and a ventilating installation for cooling the plug-in units, the ventilating installation comprises at least one fan insert (13) with several vertically blowing axial fans, which can be plugged in and integrated into the module carrier (2). The levels of received time-division multiple access (TDMA) signals may vary widely from section to section. In DC-coupled amplifier circuits, the received signals are distorted by offset voltages. Conventional correcting or balancing methods use control mechanisms which do not allow for level variations or offset drift and tend to result in miscompensation of individual signal sections. Other methods depend on time intervals defined in the received signal and having a known average value. It is the object of the invention to provide a correcting method and a circuit arrangement for carrying out the same which achieve a self-adjusting, not widely varying (floating) correction value, thus avoiding miscompensation. This is accomplished by selecting the individual time slots in a comparator with the aid of limit value.
