A system for decontaminating personal protection equipment includes a microwave oven and a decontamination apparatus configured to be placed in and heated by the microwave oven. The decontamination apparatus includes a containment vessel having an interior space configured to be sealed. The decontamination apparatus also includes one or more stands within the interior space, where the one or more stands are configured to receive and hold one or more pieces of personal protection equipment to be heated by the microwave oven and decontaminated within the interior space. The decontamination apparatus further includes a pressure-relief valve configured to be opened to release a pressure within the interior space.

Low-cost rapid thermo-chemical decontamination process for facemasks or other personal protection equipment (PPE) and related system and apparatus

An apparatus includes a containment vessel having an interior space configured to be sealed. The interior space is configured to receive at least one reservoir of liquid to be vaporized during a decontamination process. The apparatus also includes a base configured to be inserted into the interior space. The base is configured to receive one or more pieces of personal protection equipment to be heated and decontaminated within the interior space during the decontamination process. The base is configured to hold the one or more pieces of personal protection equipment above the at least one reservoir of liquid. The apparatus further includes a pressure-relief valve configured to be opened to release a pressure within the interior space. In some cases, the apparatus may include a filter configured to filter material passing through the pressure-relief valve.

Containment vessels for rapid thermo-chemical decontamination of facemasks or other personal protection equipment (PPE)

A system includes a containment vessel configured to receive and retain equipment to be decontaminated. The system also includes a solar reflector configured to reflect solar energy towards the containment vessel in order to heat the containment vessel. The system further includes end supports configured to receive and retain the solar reflector and the containment vessel. The system also includes a base having or coupled to multiple side supports, where each side support is configured to contact and support a corresponding one of the end supports. In addition, the system includes one or more semi-transparent solar shades configured to reduce the solar energy reaching the solar reflector and the containment vessel.

Ultra-compact portable solar-powered thermo-chemical decontamination system and method

A system includes a containment vessel configured to receive and hold one or more pieces of personal protection equipment to be heated and decontaminated during a decontamination process. The system also includes a solar collection device configured to heat the containment vessel based on received solar energy. The solar collection device includes a body having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes a solar aperture configured to receive the solar energy. The second portion is configured to receive the containment vessel within the body of the solar collection device. The solar collection device also includes louvered slats across the solar aperture. The louvered slats are configured to be rotated in order to control an amount of solar energy passing through the solar aperture into the body of the solar collection device.

Solar-heated thermo-chemical decontamination systems for facemasks or other personal protection equipment (PPE)

A non-lethal naval vessel interdiction weapon is provided. The non-lethal naval vessel interdiction weapon includes a hydrodynamic hull, guidance and delivery systems housed in the hydrodynamic hull with the delivery system being controllable by the guidance system to drive a naval vessel impeding payload toward a target and a deployment system. The deployment system is configured to prepare the hydrodynamic hull for payload deployment and to deploy the naval vessel impeding payload toward the target following hull preparation.

Non-lethal naval vessel interdiction weapon

A method of shaving peak power consumption by a facility includes determining a target peak demand setpoint for a facility and measuring power consumed by the facility. An electrical storage system (ESS) is charged when the measured power consumption is below the target peak demand setpoint. Additionally, the ESS is discharged and provides power to the facility when the measured power consumption is above the setpoint. Further, as data for the facility and ESS changes, the target peak demand setpoint is updated.

Energy storage peak shaving of electrical power for facilities

According to an embodiment of the disclosure, a method for monitoring a battery pack is provided. The battery pack includes a plurality of modules and a pack controller, and each module includes a corresponding module controller. For each module, the method includes measuring a module current and measuring a module voltage. The measured module current and the measured module voltage are compared to state of health (SOH) data in at least one dynamic look-up table. A state of charge for the module is determined based on the comparison of the measured module current and the measured module voltage to the SOH data in the dynamic look-up table. For a particular embodiment, the dynamic look-up table is initially configured based on a type of battery chemistry for the battery pack, and after each charge cycle for the module, the dynamic look-up table is updated based on empirical data for the module.

Intelligent independent battery management system and method

A mount system including a tray mountable to a port and a table translatable with respect to the tray. A mounting station is positioned on the table. There is a telescoping support for the tray. A drive mechanism translates the table to alternately conceal the mounting station within the port and to deploy the mounting station through the port.

Weapon mount

An armor component includes a plurality of tiles disposed on a rigid support. At least one spacer is disposed between the adjacent edges of the tiles to establish a minimum gap between the adjacent edges. The gap is filled with a gap filling material, which optionally includes a reinforcement additive. The spacers can be in the form of a spacer tray having a plurality of spacer segments and a plurality of tile cut-outs, with the tile cut-outs separated from adjacent tile cut-outs by a spacer segment, and tiles disposed one to each tile cut-out in the spacer tray. The armor component is in some embodiments placed between two fabric layers and fed into a pultruder, where it is impregnated with resin and heated to cure the resin to form a laminate armor.
