An assembly of two components configured to be in contact with hydrocarbons, and a fuel tank including the assembly. The assembly includes a casing or a retaining member fastened to the casing, each of the two components including at least one fastening part configured to interact, and at least one of the components being made from a material configured to swell through action of the hydrocarbons, thus reinforcing retention of the components on one another. A method for manufacturing such a tank includes assembling the two components in the absence of fuel, and then bringing the two components into contact with the fuel.

A non-return valve for a fuel tank, the valve comprising a substantially tubular body and a deformable shutter member fixed to said body, said shutter member being formed integrally by molding a plastics material and being shaped in such a manner as to return under its own elasticity into a shut position, with the valve body serving as a seat, whenever the shutter member is at rest and the pressure of fuel is no longer sufficient to overcome the elastic return action of the shutter member.

The invention relates to a fuel tank comprising a vessel for containing fuel and a system for evacuating the gases contained in the vessel. The system has a passage putting the inside of the vessel into communication with the outside of the vessel, and the passage is closed by a membrane suitable for allowing air and fuel vapor to pass therethrough while preventing liquid fuel from passing therethrough. The membrane is situated inside the vessel and it extends over the major portion of the top wall of the vessel.

A motor vehicle fuel tank comprising a shell and inside the shell at least one add-on element such as a valve. Said shell presents a portion in relief and an add-on element is connected to the shell by means of an intermediate element having at least one elastically-deformable portion arranged to be connected after elastic deformation in or on said portion in relief, so as to hold the intermediate element to the shell. The add-on element is arranged to be connected to the intermediate element in such a manner as to prevent the elastically-deformable portion of the intermediate element from being subjected to inverse elastic deformation enabling it to become disengaged from said portion in relief.
