The output is a multiply-accumulate output represented in a logarithmic domain when the first, second and third inputs are represented in the logarithmic domain.

Arithmetic logic unit, data processing system, method and module

A method of image processing in a computing device comprising an object detection system. The method comprises processing a first image frame, a second image frame, and one or more further image frames, the second image frame having been captured subsequent to the first image frame and the one or more further image frames having been captured subsequent to the second image frame. A feature extraction operation is performed on the first image frame and the second image frame. An object detection operation is performed, using feature data from said feature extraction operation, to produce object detection data. At least one parameter of said feature extraction operation, for processing said one or more further image frames, is modified in response to a characteristic of said object detection data.

Image processing for object detection

An object classifier using a set of object definitions arranged in an object definition hierarchy including at least a first group of coarse-level object definitions and a second group of finer-level object definitions. The object classifier is arranged to configure a first object classification cycle and a second, subsequent, object classification cycle by selectively executing a first subset of object definitions from the categorization data in the first object classification cycle; and selectively executing a second, different, subset in the second object classification cycle.

Image processing

A method of processing video data representative of a video comprising a first and second frame to generate output data representative of at least one feature of the second frame. The method includes identifying a first and second portion of the second frame, which correspond to a first and second portion of the first frame, respectively. First feature data obtained by processing first frame data associated with the first portion of the first frame using a first feature detection operation is retrieved from storage. Second feature data representative of a second feature map is generated by processing second frame data associated with the second portion of the second frame using the first feature detection operation. The first feature data and the second feature data are processed using a second feature detection operation to generate the output data.
