A system and method that tracks changes in system memory executed by a software program. An exemplary method includes referencing a memory access tracking file to a file descriptor of a memory monitoring process and registering one or more virtual memory areas of a tracked process to the memory access tracking file. Moreover, the method includes sending, by the memory access tracking file, event information of a write access to the memory monitoring process that identifies a virtual page, where the write access is performed by the tracked process to the virtual page. Finally, the method includes configuring the virtual page such that the tracked process can execute a subsequent write command to the virtual page.

An Application Packaging Standard (APS) is a specification defining application's life cycle in a cloud. The application's life cycle includes packaging, delivering to the cloud, verification of package, integrating (and unpacking) into the cloud, distributing to clients, licensing, functionality, updates and deletion. The APS has its own Application Programming Interface (API) for accessing the APS functions from a program code or by http/https requests. The APS provides for efficient integration of SaaS web applications into the cloud.

A system and method for managing licensing of virtual environment applications. A licensing module of a first installed virtual environment application detects installation of affiliated applications and gives them a group licensing key for passing it to the licensing server. The licensing server derives licensing parameters of the affiliated applications from the group key and gives the licenses to the affiliated applications, in case of successful validation. The licensing system provides protection from un-authorized copying of the applications. If an affiliated virtual environment application is copied (or moved) to another hardware node without its virtual environment, the licensing server will not give the license activation key to this virtual environment application.
