Provided is a signal and event processing, SEP, engine deployed on a target device of an industrial system, the SEP engine including subscriber nodes adapted to receive at least one of signal and event, SE, data streams from sources of the industrial system; processing nodes adapted to perform signal and event processing language, SEPL, functional operations on the received SE data streams according to an SEPL script of the SEP engine, wherein the SEPL script includes predefined stateful event or data pattern matching operations to generate result SE data streams; and publisher nodes adapted to forward the generated result SE data streams to sinks of the industrial system.

Provided is a method for providing measured values of a technical installation in which measured values in at least one measurement series are captured, wherein a respective measured value is provided by a measurement sensor for a respective physical measurement variable in the technical installation for a respective measurement time. The measured values are categorized as normal measured values or anomalous measured values with the aid of a threshold value comparison and at least one further method stage. The further method stage comprises calculating one or more statistical position parameters for selected measured values from the same measurement series and/or different measurement series. The method makes it possible to increase the reliability of the measured values provided. A method of detecting a bearing carbonization failure in a turbine system, the turbine system has a bearing, a turbine rotational speed sensor, and a bearing displacement acceleration sensor. The method includes obtaining individual measurement values from each of the turbine rotational speed sensor and the bearing displacement acceleration sensor, determining, as a first condition, whether the measurement values from the rotational speed sensor exceed or equal a first threshold value during a first period of time, calculating a characteristic value based on the measurement values from the bearing displacement acceleration sensor corresponding to a second period of time, the second period of time being part of the first period of time, determining, as a second condition, whether the calculated characteristic value exceeds a second threshold value, and determining that a bearing carbonization failure has occurred if both the first condition and the second condition are fulfilled.

A method of detecting a temperature sensor failure in a turbine system, includes obtaining individual measurement values from each temperature sensor in a group of temperature sensors, calculating a characteristic value for each temperature sensor in the group based on the measurement values for the corresponding temperature sensor, selecting a first characteristic value among the calculated characteristic values, determining a first maximum value as the maximum of the characteristic values except for the first characteristic value, and determining that the temperature sensor corresponding to the first characteristic value is defective if the first characteristic value is larger than the first maximum value multiplied by a predetermined factor. In a method for determination of the measurement workflow of a magnetic resonance tomography apparatus in the generation of slice images of a subject, a number of slice images to be generated is established. A total number of measurement regions is established for each of the slice images, with one measurement being necessary for the acquisition of the data of each of the measurement regions. An individual measurement sequence is determined for each slice image, comprising an excitation and a determined number of successive measurements of different measurement regions of the appertaining slice image, with a number of measurement sequences being necessary for acquisition of all measurement regions of the appertaining slice image. The individual measurement sequences are to be distributed to a determined number of measurement streams is determined. An order is established as to the distribution of the entirety of measurements of a respective slice image among the measurement streams.
