Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system using an unlicensed spectrum. The UE includes a processor circuitry and radio front end circuitry coupled with the processor circuitry. The processor circuitry is configured to determine UE processing time for a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission and a second PDSCH transmission, and an additional processing time corresponding to the first and the second PDSCH transmissions. The processor circuitry is configured to process a hybrid automatic repeat and request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) assessment information for inclusion in a subframe on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) following the UE processing time and the additional processing time. The radio front end circuitry is configured to receive the first and the second PDSCH transmissions from a base station, and transmit the HARQ-ACK assessment information on the PUCCH to the base station.

A described technique performed by UE includes receiving a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) from a first TRP corresponding to a first scheduling physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and a second PDSCH from a second TRP corresponding to a second scheduling PDCCH. A wireless device and a cellular base station may establish a wireless link, according to which the wireless device may be configured to communicate using a primary cell and a secondary cell. The wireless device may detect beam failure on the secondary cell. The wireless device may send an indication of the beam failure recovery to the cellular base station. The wireless device may receive information configuring candidate transmit beam reference signals for performing beam recovery on the secondary cell. The wireless device may perform beam identification and report on any new transmit beam(s) identified by the wireless device.

A described technique performed by a user equipment (UE) includes monitoring a downlink reference signal from a base station; transmitting, via a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) associated with a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number, a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) in response to a change in a quality of the downlink reference signal, wherein the BFRQ comprises new beam information; receiving, by the UE, a downlink control information (DCI) message to trigger a PUSCH transmission corresponding to the HARQ process number; and transmitting, by the UE after at least a predetermined number of symbols from a last symbol of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) reception containing the DCI message, information via a PUCCH in accordance with the new beam information. The UE can apply the new beam information to uplink and downlink channels.

Methods and apparatus are described for methods and apparatus for carrying out wireless communication using Long Term Evolution (LTE) in a frequency band with low peak-to-average-power. The approach includes precoding, in the frequency domain, a plurality of physical channel signals, followed by multiplexing, where the procoding is performed according to predetermined codes with a code length selected based on a length of an entire signal of the multiplexed precoded plurality of physical channel signals. In addition, the approach includes being configured to map the multiplexed precoded plurality of physical channel signals to subcarriers in the frequency band, as well to generate a time domain waveform based on the mapped signals.
