A method for providing personal tracking data for controlling at least one function of a technical system. The method includes reading in, executing, and generating. During the reading in, sensor data from two spaced-apart radar sensors with partially overlapping fields of view are read in, the sensor data representing a point cloud made up of point targets that are detected with the aid of the radar sensors. During the execution, an estimation algorithm is executed, using the sensor data, in order to generate at least one corrected position profile track, the estimation algorithm applying a density-based cluster analysis algorithm. During the generating, the tracking data are generated using the at least one corrected position profile track.

The method includes: providing a gas sensor device including at least one gas-sensitive electrical sensor resistor, a heater for the controlled heating of the sensor resistor, a detection device for detecting the resistance value of the sensor resistor, and a signal processing device for the sensor signal; heating the sensor resistor using the heater alternatingly in a first heating mode in a first operating phase and a second heating mode in a second operating phase, each heating mode including a sequence of heating pulses so that the sensor resistor is heated at predetermined temporal intervals for a predetermined duration to a predetermined operating temperature, an essentially identical operating temperature being selected for the at least two different heating modes; detecting the resistance value of the sensor resistor and generating a sensor signal.

A method for operating a gas sensor device, which is equipped with at least one gas-sensitive electrical sensor resistor, a heating element for the controlled heating of the sensor resistor, a detection element for detecting the resistance value of the sensor resistor, and a signal processing element for processing measuring signals. In the method, measurements are carried out in time intervals, in which the resistance value of the sensor resistor is detected as a measuring signal, and the sensor resistor is heated for each measurement, the heating element being operated discontinuously in heating intervals and each measurement being assigned a heating interval. Measurements are automatically carried out in predefinable time intervals, and additional measurements are initiatable at arbitrary times. The duration of the heating intervals assigned to the individual measurements being selected as a function of the time interval to the preceding heating interval.
