Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) receives a set of antenna parameters for a plurality of antenna ports of a transmission-reception point (TRP), obtains positioning measurements of a plurality of positioning reference signal (PRS) resources transmitted on the plurality of antenna ports, reconstructs an underlying physical channel between the TRP and the UE based on the positioning measurements of the plurality of PRS resources, and determines a downlink angle of arrival (DL-AoD) measurement from the TRP to the UE based on the reconstructed underlying physical channel.

Multi-port positioning reference signal (PRS) for downlink angle-of-departure (AOD) estimation

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may send a capabilities report to a base station. The capabilities report may include an explicit indication that the UE is capable of receiving a maximum layer radio resource control (RRC) parameter, or may include ambiguous (e.g., multiple) capabilities. The base station may receive the capabilities report, and may determine whether to transmit a maximum layer RRC parameter based on the explicit indication, or the ambiguous capabilities, which indicates a maximum number of layers to be used for subsequent communications. If the UE is capable of receiving the maximum layer RRC parameter, the base station may send the maximum layer RRC parameter to the UE, and may perform wireless communications according to the indicated maximum number of layers.

Configuring a maximum number of layers

In some implementations, a current synchronization reference anchor for the group of RF positioning anchors may obtain metric information from each radio frequency (RF) positioning anchor of the group of RF positioning anchors. The current synchronization reference anchor may select the new synchronization reference anchor from the group of RF positioning anchors based at least in part on the metric information.

In an aspect, a position estimation entity may obtain a first differential round trip time (RTT) measurement based on a first RTT measurement between a user equipment (UE) and a first wireless node and a second RTT measurement between the UE and a second wireless node, may obtain a second differential RTT measurement based on a third RTT measurement between a third wireless node and the first wireless node and a fourth RTT measurement between the third wireless node and the second wireless node, and may determine a positioning estimate of the UE based at least in part on the first differential RTT measurement and the second differential RTT measurement.

In an aspect, a network component (e.g., BS, LMF, etc.) determines a configuration of a first search window associated with a downlink positioning reference signal (DL-PRS) resource from a transmission reception point (TRP) to a user equipment (UE) and a second search window associated with the DL-PRS resource from the TRP to the UE. The network component transmits the configuration to the UE. The UE performs one or more positioning measurements of the DL-PRS resources based on the first and second search windows.

Multiple search windows associated with measurement of a downlink positioning reference signal

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) served by a first cell and a second UE served by a second cell may experience cross link interference (CLI). The UEs may have different subcarrier spacing (SCS) configurations. For example, the uplink SCS of the aggressor UE may be different from the downlink SCS of the victim UE. The serving base stations may configure the UEs with one or more parameters for generating and measuring a signal used to manage the CLI. The parameters may be based on the uplink SCS of the aggressor and the downlink SCS of the victim. The aggressor UE may apply the parameters to generate the CLI measurement signal, and the victim UE may apply the parameters to measure the CLI measurement signal, so the signal from the transmitter fits into the resource grid of the receiver.

Subcarrier spacing for UE-to-UE cross link interference measurement

Techniques are disclosed for determining an object's location by using a Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) to aid in RF sensing. Radar techniques can be used in which one or more base stations act as a transmitter and a receiving device acts as a receiver in a bistatic or multi-static radar configuration where an RIS directs signals transmitted by the one or more base stations to the receiving device. By comparing the time a line-of-sight (LOS) signal (redirected to the receiving device by the RIS) is received by the receiving device with that of an echo signal (redirected to the receiving device by the RIS) from a reflection of an RF signal from the object, a position of the object can be determined. Depending on desired functionality, this position can be determined by the receiving device or by a location server or other network entity.

Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided UE passive RF sensing

Aspects for time bundling an SRS resource over a plurality of instances are disclosed. The apparatus may include a user equipment (UE). The user equipment may receive a configuration from a base station for time-bundling at least one sounding reference signal (SRS) resource. The time-bundling may be performed by the UE transmitting a plurality of SRS signals at different times using an identical center frequency and at least two different frequency resource allocations. The UE may transmit the plurality of SRS signals based on the configuration.

Wireless communication techniques leveraging DMRS sharing patterns are disclosed. A method of wireless communication includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE) device, control information. The control information indicates mapping of uplink transmission parameters to one or more demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sharing patterns. The method further includes sending an uplink transmission to a base station in accordance with a DMRS sharing pattern. The DMRS sharing pattern is selected from among the one or more DMRS sharing patterns based on one or more parameters of the uplink transmission. Demodulation reference signal sharing pattern selection in a wireless communication system

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a UE may receive an indication of a set of sounding reference signal (SRS) parameters corresponding to a set of SRS resources for transmitting SRSs, where the set of SRS resources may refer to frequency, or time, or both. In some examples, the SRS parameters may include, among other examples, a frequency allocation, a frequency overlap parameter, a number of allocated symbols, a comb value, a cyclic shift, a comb offset, a frequency hopping parameter, a repetition parameter, a symbol grouping parameter, or any combination thereof. The UE may determine an SRS configuration for the one or more SRSs based on the set of SRS parameters and transmit the one or more SRSs based on the configuration. In some examples, the SRS configuration includes a configuration for SRS frequency hopping, or SRS repetition, or both.

Enhanced sounding reference signal resource configurations

A base station that may include at least two transmission reception points (TRPs) next to a high speed train (HST) may transmit, to a user equipment (UE) on the HST, an indication of a quasi co-location (QCL) relationship indicating a relationship between a plurality of tracking reference signals (TRSs) and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) of a data channel. The plurality of TRSs may include a first TRS and a second TRS. The UE may receive, from a first TRP, the first TRS associated with an occasion of the data channel, and receive, from a second TRP, the second TRS associated with the occasion of the data channel. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive, from a base station, an indication of a set of resources for transmitting a set of phase-coherent sounding reference signals (SRSs). The UE may determine a phase coherency configuration associated with a second portion of the set of resources based on receiving the control message indicating the cancellation. The UE may then be configured to transmit one or more SRSs within the second portion of the set of resources in accordance with the determined phase coherency configuration.
