Various embodiments generally may relate to the field of wireless communications. For example, some embodiments may relate to enabling augmented computing as a service or network capability for sixth-generation (6G) networks. For example, some embodiments may be directed to the operation of a compute control client (Comp CC) at the UE side, and a compute control function (Comp CF) and compute service function (Comp SF) at the network side, which are referred to herein as 'compute plane' functions to handle computing related control and user traffic.

Computing workload management in next generation cellular networks

Embodiments herein provide techniques related to a NEF. An example technique includes identifying, from an AF that implements a ML model, a request related to reservation of resources for a plurality of AF sessions, wherein the plurality of AF sessions relate to respective UEs of a plurality of UEs, and wherein the request includes an indication of addresses of respective UEs of the plurality of UEs and a QoS parameter; transmitting, to a BSF of the cellular network, a discovery request related to discovery of respective PCFs that are serving the respective UEs of the plurality of UEs; identifying, based on the discovery request, a discovery response that includes indications of the PCFs; identifying, based on the indications of the PCFs and the QoS parameter, a result related to the reservation of resources; and transmitting, to the AF, an indication of the result. Supporting multiple application function sessions with required group quality of service (QoS) provided by machine learning model provider application function

A system to support time sensitive networking (TSN) in a 5G system is described. The TSN application function (AF) sends to a device-side translator a Port Management Information Container (PMIC) and port number that has a Stream Identification type value and Stream Identification controlling parameters that depend on the Stream Identification type value for per-stream policing and filtering in a distributed bridge. During establishment of the bridge, the network-side translator port numbers are provided to the TSN AF in a Bridge Management Information Container (BMIC). Any PDU session of the bridge is able to be selected for Ethernet port and Bridge management procedures between the network-side translator and the TSN AF.

5G time sensitive networking bridge configuration

Systems and methods of providing UE capability are described. A capability ID is associated with the same Radio Capability information for multiple UEs. If the capability ID is validated at a network node, the UE provides the capability ID to a RAN node, which obtains the capability information from the network node after providing the received capability ID to the RAN node. The capability ID is received in an RRC Setup Complete. Security Mode Complete or Reconfiguration Complete message. The network node, if the Radio Capability information is not available, requests and receives the Radio Capability information and associates it with the capability ID, and marks that the capability ID as not validated until a threshold number of the UEs have provided the same Radio Capability information. The capability ID is based on a UE device type, manufacturer and software version.

Methods, systems, and storage media are described for the utilization of user equipment (UE) identifiers for registration in fifth generation (5G) systems. An apparatus of a user equipment includes processing circuitry to: retrieve a first 5G-GUTI from a memory; generate a registration request message that includes the first 5G-GUTI; encode the registration request message for transmission to a fifth-generation core (5GC) network of a second PLMN; receive a registration accept message that includes a second 5G-GUTI; and access the second PLMN using the second 5G-GUTI.

An apparatus and system for onboarding based on UE default manufacturer credentials are described. A UE sends default manufacturer credentials and an indication to proceed with restricted onboarding to an onboarding non-public network (O-SNPN). An Onboarding Server validates the authenticity of the UE based on the manufacturer credentials and sends a certificate. The UE is provisioned with a set of roots of trust certificate information to use to authenticate the certificate using one way authentication. After authentication, the UE receives network credentials and performs mutual authentication to register with a NPN while being authenticated by a home network. The UE identity is indicated as anonymous in response to an indication by the O-SNPN for subscriber identifier privacy.

Techniques are provided for managing the provisioning of voice services to a user equipment (UE) in a fifth generation (5G) network. For example, the UE generates a registration request message that includes 5G mobility management (5GMM) capabilities of the UE that are indicative of whether the UE supports voice over internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS), and transmits the registration request message to a next generation radio access network (NGRAN) node in the 5G wireless network. Based on the 5GMM capabilities, the NG-RAN node can determine whether voice over IMS can be provided to UE by comparing the 5GMM capabilities to capabilities of the NG-RAN node.

Methods and apparatus for enabling service continuity in an Edge computing environment

A network device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), a new radio NB (gNB), or other network component) can process or generate a one-step paging reception or a two-step paging reception based on being in a sub-state of an idle mode. A UE can enter into an idle state to enable a decreased power consumption of battery, and further reduce power consumption by only monitoring a PDCCH in response to operating in a camped on any cell state, and eliminate processing a paging message when in the camped on any cell state.

The UE may indicate to the network whether it supports the flexible scope of packet filters for RQoS for a PDU session.

In an example method, a user equipment (UE) determines a first identifier assigned to the UE for use on a first wireless communications network and one or more first time slots for monitoring the first wireless communication networks. The UE determines a second identifier assigned to the UE for use on a second wireless communications network and one or more second time slots for monitoring the second wireless communication networks. The UE determines that the one or more first time slots at least partially overlap the one or more second time slots, and in response, transmits to the second wireless communications network, a request for a third identifier to be assigned to the UE for use on the second wireless communications network and/or a request that the one or more second time slots be offset by an interval of time.

Avoiding paging collisions in a device with multiple subscriptions

A computer system that establishes a first registration and a second registration in a common wireless communication system is described. During operation, the computer system performs a first registration of the user equipment over a first access, where, after the first registration, the user equipment is connected via the first access with a first access and mobility management function (AMF). Then, the computer system performs a second registration of the user equipment over a second access, where the second access is different from the first access and, after the second registration, the user equipment is connected via the second access with a second AMF. Moreover, when performing the second registration, the computer system: transfers a context of the user equipment from the first AMF to the second AMF; and/or relocates a network interface in a control plane from the first AMF to the second AMF.
