Elevator car door systems are provided. The systems include an elevator car having a car door and a movable car door coupling attached to the car and arranged to control operation of the car door. A mounting bracket is attached to the car, a first blade is attached to the mounting bracket, a second blade is attached to the mounting bracket, and a deterrent is attached to the mounting bracket. The first and second blades are operable a landing door coupling to operate the car door. A portion of the movable car door coupling is arranged to contact a ceiling of an elevator shaft during an overrun event when and move a part of the movable car door coupling relative to the car, and when the portion is not in contact with the ceiling, a biasing element urges the portion toward a normal position.

Elevator car door coupling systems

Elevator lintel door lock safety devices having a frame mountable to a lintel, a lintel door lock fixed to the frame and having a first lock element rotatable relative to a second lock element, a contact plate fixed to the first lock element and moveable therewith, the contact plate having at least one contact attached thereto, a contact receiver attached to the frame and part of a safety chain, the contact receiver having at least one contact receiver aperture arranged to receive a respective contact of the contact plate, and a blocking element pivotably mounted to the frame wherein a portion of the blocking element is moveable between (i) a first position to prevent the at least one contact from engaging with a respective contact receiver aperture and (ii) a second position that allows the at least one contact to engage with the respective contact receiver aperture.

A landing door locking mechanism of an elevator system includes a body housing key-engagement elements and having a first end and a second end, the key-engagement elements located at the first end and a keyway structure, wherein in a first position the first end of the body is exposed such that a key may be inserted into a keyway of the keyway structure and interact with the key-engagement elements. A biasing mechanism is configured to bias a moveable portion of the body toward a second position, wherein in the second position a key cannot interact with the key-engagement elements and a solenoid is configured to apply a force on the moveable portion of the body when the solenoid is energized such that the moveable portion of the body is moved from the second position to the first position.

Landing door lock failsafe protection device
