A hearing aid includes an assembly, the assembly comprising: a microphone for reception of sound and conversion of the received sound into a corresponding first audio signal; a signal processor configured to provide a second audio signal compensating a hearing loss of a user of the hearing aid, wherein the second audio signal is based on the first audio signal; a wireless communication unit; and an antenna system comprising a first feeding structure and a radiating segment; wherein the first feeding structure is connected or coupled to the wireless communication unit; and wherein at least a part of the first feeding structure is galvanically disconnected from the radiating segment, and is capactively coupled to the radiating segment.

Hearing aid with an antenna

A hearing aid has an assembly, the assembly comprising: a microphone for reception of sound and conversion of the received sound into a corresponding first audio signal; a signal processor for processing the first audio signal into a second audio signal compensating a hearing loss of a user of the hearing aid; a wireless communication unit configured for wireless communication; and an antenna system comprising a first feeding structure and a radiating segment; wherein the first feeding structure is connected or coupled to the wireless communication unit, and wherein the radiating segment is galvanic disconnected from at least a part of the first feeding structure; and wherein the at least a part of the first feeding structure is galvanic disconnected from the radiating segment if a capacitive coupling between the at least a part of the first feeding structure and the radiating segment is between 0.5 pF and 20 pF.

A hearing aid includes: a wireless communication element for wireless communication; a signal processing element for providing an audio signal; a connector for coupling an in-ear element to the hearing aid; a first conductor connected to the wireless communication element; and a second conductor configured for carrying the audio signal to the connector; wherein the first conductor is capacitively coupled to the second conductor or the connector during an operation of the hearing aid.

An apparatus comprising: a conductive member configured to receive an antenna and to form a non-conductive region between the conductive member and a ground member; and a switch having a first closed configuration and a second open configuration, the first closed configuration being configured to couple the conductive member to the ground member across the non-conductive region and to provide a first current path having a first electrical length and a first resonant frequency, the second open configuration being configured to provide a second current path having a second electrical length and a second resonant frequency, the second resonant frequency being lower than the first resonant frequency.

Apparatus, methods and computer programs for wireless communication

Apparatus including: an antenna configured for efficient far field communication at a first frequency; an inductive element including a plurality of series-connected coiled portions, including a first coiled portion and a second coiled portion, wherein the inductive element is configured to provide near field communication at a second frequency; and at least one reactive element parallel connected between the first coiled portion and the second coiled portion, wherein the at least one reactive element has a lower impedance at the first frequency than at the second frequency.

An apparatus including a first conductive cover portion defining an interior surface and an exterior surface of the apparatus; an antenna element, connected to a feed point and arranged to operate in at least a first resonant frequency band; a conductive element, positioned between the interior surface of the first conductive cover portion and the antenna element, and arranged to couple with the first conductive cover portion, wherein the combination of the conductive element and the first conductive cover portion are operable in a second resonant frequency band, different to the first resonant frequency band and are arranged to be contactlessly fed by the antenna element.
