A method of stabilizing sandy soils is provided wherein 0.5 to 5 L&#xb7;mof an aqueous solution S having less than 2000 ppm of at least one water-soluble polymer is applied to the surface of a sandy soil in order to combat the phenomenon of wind erosion. The polymer may include ethylenically unsaturated monomers having at least one hydroxyalkylated monomer of formula (I) HC&#x2550;CRRin which Ris a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and Rbeing a hydrocarbon group containing at least one pendant group OH and optionally at least one N or O heteroatom in the hydrocarbon chain. This method is particularly applicable for the stabilization of mobile dunes and the suppression of sand migration that can impact infrastructure, inhabited areas and agricultural areas in arid, semi-arid and dry sub-humid areas.

Method for stabilizing sandy soils

The present invention concerns an aqueous dispersion comprising particles of water-soluble polymer of average molecular weight higher than or equal to 0.5 million daltons, or of water-swellable polymer, and a mixture of at least one sulfate salt and at least one phosphate salt in weight proportions of between 25:75 and 75:25.

Aqueous dispersion of hydrosoluble or hydroswellable polymer

The invention relates to the field concerning the treatment of plant material, particularly plant material for propagation or reproduction e.g. seeds. The method of the invention comprises the application, to all or part of the surface of plant material, of an aqueous dispersion comprising (a) particles of at least one water-swellable polymer and (b) at least one compound selected from among a mineral salt, organic salt, dispersant organic polymer and mixtures thereof. The invention also relates to this treated plant material and to use thereof for cultivating or producing a plant.

Seed treatment using hydroswellable polymer

The present invention relates to an aqueous multiphase particulate suspension comprising a water-soluble polymer and to an enhanced oil recovery method using said suspension. The invention further relates to the use of the multiphase suspension in a drilling, hydraulic fracturing and mining effluent treatment operation.
