A material includes a transparent substrate coated with a stack of thin layers acting on infrared radiation including at least one functional layer. The stack includes a protective coating deposited above at least a part of the functional layer. The protective coating includes at least one lower protective layer based on titanium and zirconium, these two metals being in the metal, oxidized or nitrided form, and at least one upper protective layer of carbon, within which layer the carbon atoms are essentially in an sphybridization state, located above the layer based on titanium and zirconium.

Glazing comprising a protective coating

A glazing can be used as a constituent element of a heating device or of a fireproof door. The glazing includes a transparent substrate coated with a stack of thin layers including at least one silver-based functional metal layer and an upper protective layer based on zirconium titanium oxide.

Glass used as a component of a heating device

A solar protection and/or thermal insulation glazing including a substrate, in particular a glass substrate, provided with a stack of thin layers which act on solar radiation, the stack having the succession of the following layers, starting from the surface of the glass: an underlayer or a set of underlayers, the underlayer(s) having dielectric materials, a layer based on titanium oxide also having silicon, the overall Si/Ti atomic ratio in said layer being between 0.01 and 0.25, and in which Si and Ti represent at least 90% of the atoms other than oxygen, the thickness of the layer being between 20 and 70 nm, an overlayer or a set of overlayers, said overlayer(s) having dielectric materials.
