A piloting device arranged to be integrated in a pre-existing aircraft that includes original systems comprising both a flight control system and an autopilot system is distinct from and autonomous relative to the original systems and includes a positioning unit and a control unit. The positioning unit is arranged to produce positioning data for the pre-existing aircraft. The control unit is arranged to perform a geofencing function from the positioning data produced by the positioning unit and to produce an alternative piloting setpoint for the pre-existing aircraft. The alternative piloting setpoint is adapted to supplement both a manual piloting setpoint produced by a pilot of the pre-existing aircraft via the flight control system and also an autopilot setpoint produced by the autopilot system.

Piloting device designed to be integrated into a preexisting aircraft

A method is provided for characterizing the amplitude of play in an electromechanical actuator comprising an electric motor, a movable element, an upstream sensor, a downstream sensor, and a force sensor. The method includes steps of measuring the position of the motor, the position of the movable element and the load applied to the movable element using the three sensors. On the basis of a computer model of the actuator and of the measurements, a value of the amount of mechanical play is estimated using a state observer considering the play to be a state component. The amplitude of the play is determined from a set of values of the dynamic variable obtained in the preceding step at various times.

Method for estimating the play in an electromechanical actuator

The invention relates to a method of monitoring an electromechanical actuator system, the method comprising the steps of estimating the voltage drop in the power supply to the motor associated with defects of the inverter by means of a Kalman filter, estimating () at least the electromagnetic torque coefficient of the motor by taking account of the estimated voltage drop, and calculating () the electromagnetic torque of the motor from the electromagnetic torque coefficient of the motor.

Method for monitoring an electromechanical actuator system

A power supply and control device for a plurality of electric actuators, the device comprising a control circuit and a power circuit, the power circuit having an inverter module connected to a switch module provided with connection means for connection to the actuators, the control circuit being connected to the switch module to operate it so as to connect the actuators sequentially to the inverter module, wherein the control circuit is arranged to control the inverter module and the switch module sequentially, and wherein the control circuit includes a monitoring module arranged to detect a malfunction of the device. An actuator assembly comprising a plurality of actuators and such a power supply and control device, and an aircraft including a plurality of actuators and such a power supply and control device of the above-specified type.
