A retaining table for use with a fluid processing system includes a plate having a generally flat top surface with opposed first and second ends and opposed first and second lateral edges for supporting a disposable container, a first retaining structure connected to the plate along the first end, and a second retaining structure connected to the plate along the second end.

A weigh scale for use with a fluid processing system including a reusable hardware component and a single use fluid circuit having a plurality of containers interconnected by a plurality of tubing segments. The weigh scale includes a load cell, a bracket secured to the load cell, and a container support clip secured to a connection shaft. The upper end of the connection shaft is configured to be received in the bracket so as to permit the container support clip to self-center with respect to the bracket.

Systems for retaining and weighing variously configured containers

A pneumatic driver for a syringe is provided. The syringe has an elongated barrel with a cap secured to the proximal end that has a through bore. A filter is secured to the cap interior of the barrel that covers an opening in the through bore interior of the barrel. The pneumatic driver includes a source of pressurized air; a support for receiving and locating the syringe; and a supply block configured to receive pressurized air from the source and having an outlet for delivery of pressurized air. The supply block is movable between a first position spaced apart from the cap of the syringe and a second position in contact with the cap with fluid communication being established between the outlet of the supply block and the through-bore in the cap.

A device for pooling a blood component stored in source containers includes a pump or pumps configured to pump a fluid in a first direction and a second direction and receive a pump line having a first end connected to the source containers. A pool clamp is configured to receive a pool line having a first end connected to a second end of the pump line and a second end connected to a pool container. A wash clamp is configured to receive a wash line having a first end connected to the second end of the pump line and a second end connected to a wash media container. A controller is configured to open the pool clamp, close the wash clamp and operate the pump in the first direction and to alternatively close the pool clamp, open the wash clamp and operate the pump in the second direction.
