A skin tightening composition including about 2 to about 35 wt. % of at least one thickener selected from polyamide-8, styrene ethylene/propylene copolymer, nylon-611/dimethicone crosspolymer, VP/EICOSENE copolymer, fumed silicas, hydrophobically modified silica, silica silylate, clays and a combination thereof; about 1.5 to about 13 wt. % of at least one filler; about 5 to about 45 wt. % of at least one hydrophobic film former; and about 20 to about 85 wt. % of at least one volatile hydrocarbon, wherein a weight ratio of the at least one hydrophobic film former c) to the at least one thickener a) is 1:2 to 8:1 (hydrophobic film former c):thickener a)), and all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the skin tightening composition.

Skin tightening compositions and methods of use

Skin tightening compositions for application to the skin for providing an instantaneous and dramatic improvement to the appearance of skin. The skin tightening compositions typically include about 5 to about 45 wt. % or more of one or more hydrophobic film-forming polymers comprising acrylates/stearyl methacrylate copolymer; about 0.5 to about 20 wt. % of a mineral thickening agent; about 1 to about 15 wt. % of a silicone elastomer; and about 30 to about 85 wt. % of a volatile hydrocarbon oil, wherein all percentages by weight are based on the total weight of the skin tightening composition. Additionally, the skin tightening composition may have a weight ratio of the total amount of hydrophobic film-forming polymers to the total amount of mineral thickening agent is 1:1 to 10:1 and a weight ratio of the total amount of silicone elastomer to the total amount of mineral thickening agent is 1:2 to 8:1.

Skin perfecting cosmetic compositions and methods of use

A stencil or stamp applicator is used for applying a skin-tightening composition onto skin surfaces. The composition applied with a stencil or stamp results in a discontinuous film made up of sections of about 20 to 150 microns. The discontinuity of the film results in more comfort and a more natural look of facial movement while still retaining a good skin-tightening effect.

Methods and applicators for applying skin-tightening film products

The invention relates to systems and methods for improving the appearance of the skin. The systems comprise 1) a skin-tightening composition comprising at least one thermoplastic elastomer and at least one adhesive polymer; and 2) a long-wear cosmetic composition comprising at least one silicone-polyamide copolymer, at least one silicone film former, and at least one volatile oil. Methods comprise applying the compositions of the systems on to the skin sequentially after a drying period.

Systems and methods for improving the appearance of the skin

The present disclosure relates to methods for protecting skin from UV radiation while simultaneously improving the appearance of skin. The methods include layered application of a skin perfecting composition and a sunscreen composition. The skin perfecting composition comprises: (i) about 1 to about 40 wt. % of at least one primary film forming polymer having a Young's modulus of 0.1 to 50 MPa, and elongation at break &#x3e;50% and a glass transition temperature of &#x3c;0&#xb0; C.; (ii) about 1 to about 35 wt. % of at least one pressure sensitive adhesive polymer; (iii) about 1 to about 35 wt. % of soft focus powder; and (iv) water. The sunscreen composition comprises: (i) at least one organic UV filter; and (ii) a cosmetically acceptable carrier.

Methods for protecting and improving the appearance of skin

The disclosure relates to compositions and methods for removing cosmetic films and makeup compositions from keratinous fibers. Compositions comprise at least one low-viscosity, low-volatility silicone. Methods comprise applying the compositions to keratinous fibers.
